My Grandpa passed away recently and we had his funeral this week, he was 96 - he discovered worldle after a cpl of weeks of it coming out, and played it every day without fail and emailed his score to his daughter (may auntie), in Penzance, he only stopped playing about a week or so before he went into hospital.

He used to get annoyed about words he didn't know, or more recent words that have been adopted by the dictionary - he was obsessed with it and did it all on his ipad. Everytime I look at this thread I'll think of him, I decided to give it a go today and flunked it, he'd be absolutely horrified lol

Awww.. something to remind you of him. My Dad if he was still alive would have been the same. He used to love word type puzzles, was a master of crosswords. Did the cryptic one in the daily telegraph daily. I've tried but am useless. If its any consolation. todays was a hard word to guess (imo) try again tomorrow, you soon get into a rhythm with them.

My dad definitely would have enjoyed Wordle too and would have done better than me at it for sure.

He also always did the cryptic crosswords every single day.
