Nine clubs have been linked with Bailey Cadamarteri for about £750k. Are we one of them?

He’s been a fan ever since his dad popped one in the top bin against Fulham in the cup

David Datro Fofana could be loaned to Leicester City until the end of the season, according to the 'Evening Standard'.

I know I keep making jokes... so i'll say something serious.

Same agent as JJ and Ramsay, so it's either them putting this out there to hurry Celtic up, or we have new agent friends and this is quite likely.

Anyone actually seen the evening standard they are supposedly quoting?

Been doing a bit more digging into Unique Sports Group.

They've got pretty much every player we've been linked to between summer and now lol

Oh and they're Marti's agent as well.

When things get desperate, you just know they’ll turn to one of Unique Sports Group, Wasserman or CAA Stellar for a signing.

Looks like another recipe for disaster

Where'd 10m come from?

Fatih had an option on him and their record buy is €1.3m so their option won't have been 10m.

Aside from that being more than Chelsea paid for him as well.

unless I was mistaken, the 1.3m wasn’t for fofana? Apologies if I have got that wrong

No I'm saying where did you get the figure of £10mill from given that the Turkish club Fatih had an option on him and there's no way they can afford that kind of fee.

I honestly can’t see us signing any new players this window unless we first sell Monga, Fatawu, or both. Given the financial reality, I wouldn’t be surprised if the club sells both before the deadline. Then, in the final 24 hours, we bring in one or two loans to at least have some depth at striker and in the back line.

It’s the kind of approach that makes sense if the real priority is rebuilding the budget rather than strengthening the squad. And if that’s the plan, it also makes sense why the club might be saving money for a new technical director—or even a new manager (if only!)

Sounds spot on to me…….a plan, not been aired on here for a while!

We need a striker.  PSR might be a constraint but there is a difference between a PSR loss and cash out the door.

Parachute payments are still pretty significant in year 2 and we’ll have moved on probably our top 5 earners (Winks, Soumane, Daka, Ricardo, Bilal).

We’ll have money from the likely sale of Abdul also.

We will have the budget for a striker and we clearly need one.

We also have a loan spot. One of the Heskey's is going to Sheff Weds on loan, we could have easily done that deal.

Charlton took that young left back on loan from Liverpool.  He cannot be worse than our current options.

Even with financial constraints there are things we could and should be doing.

Identifying problem areas and fixing them... we don't do that here.

I genuinely don’t know what Martyn Glover does. There are so many players out there, especially across the European leagues that are cheap, and easily enhance the quality of our squad in nearly every position. He is a waste just like Rudkin and Aiyawatt.

We genuinely don't really know what anyone at the club does and I'm not being funny.

The corporate structure and the responsibilities of staff at our club do not seem consistent with well run, modern clubs.

We (fans) throw blame all over the place but we don't actually know where it truly belongs. Especially with our dubious relationship with agents and agencies muddying the water.
