£33m release clause, but will require over £160k a week salary. I don’t think he’d come here, sadly.

...looked pretty average in most of this then looked very impressive when he was threading players in at the end!!!

Can't say he is worth those figures at this moment.

That £33m release clause will make him very hard to get, there'll be clubs queuing up for him. Our only chance would be to chuff up more this month and that would require us to sell Tielemans at the same time.

Chuff up more what?

I’m not sure what he means but bidding more than the release clause won’t do anything if there is another club who he prefers to move to who just bids the release clause. We’d just need to give him a big contract. I don’t see this one happening.

Well two notorious hate speakers were Abu Hamza and Amjad Chaudhry, but it doesn’t seem to have done our Hamza Choudhury any harm ;)

That's what I was thinking, it's out of the clubs hands if a release clause is met so I'm guessing wages/signing on fee is what we'd be throwing cash at.

You never know though, didn’t think we could get Daka and we did. Depends who’s in for him and if he thinks they’re the right fit/will be guaranteed starter etc.

But if the clubs named in the press are really in for him, then we aren’t getting him.

The £33m release clause only kicks in this summer. If we were to offer £45m this month and the plethora of clubs that want him in the summer decide that's too much to act now then we narrow the field and stand a better chance of getting him.

Man Utd were linked to him recently. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing but more likely a Rangnick target than Man Utds scouting, as fits his intense pressing system.

Ah, didn’t know that. In which case yes, we could go for him this month if Youri is off. Doubt either will move before summer though, its in both players interests to wait and evaluate their options.

Fair enough, to be fair if we went to 45 for him anyway I don't think any other big clubs looking at him would hesistate about an extra few million.

Obviously yes but doubt we can get him without Champions League/Europaa League.

That's what people were saying about Gosens in the summer, now he's looking like going to fuching Newcastle...

One thing we can probably say with certainly is that Leicester City won't be offering £45m for anybody this month

Because they'll pay him about 200 grand a week.

Which is exactly my point. Money is what matters, not CL. We won't see all these players lining up to go to Rangers or Celtic this year!

They use CL football as en excuse but what they want is massive wages. I don't see an issue with them just saying that.

The teams that will be interested in Haidara will pay him roughly what we could afford to pay him.

The difference is those teams will be in Europe and we won't.

Strange? How exactly, care to elaborate?

Yes, that's exactly who I meant. It was an attempted hook/added steel pun which clearly wasn't very funny. Amadou Haidara is the same initials and sounds (vaguely) similar to Abu Hamza.

Why the hell would I say it about Hamza Choudhury? The initials aren't the same and his name doesn't sound anything like the same.
