Great to see Jacobellis finally win gold. Can't believe it's been 16 years since she threw it away in Turin.

GB women's curling throw away three opportunities to win the opener against the Swiss.

Let's hope that's the jittery game out of the way first up.

Least the Men got off to a win in the Curling.

China miss out out on a gold in a Freestyle skiing event after one of their competitors fell over on landing - won;'t go down well!

Russians cheating as usual. No surprise there. Not much of a punishment to the fvcked up system to say “you just can’t wave your flag”. Ban them ffs.

Been reading they're treating athletes like crap, wonder if there's any truth to it.

My friend is working out there at one of the venues.  She’s used to working events all over the world, but this is the first time she’s wanted to go home.

Incredible scenes in the half pipe earlier. The winning run by the Japanese athlete was insane!

Judges tried to screw him after that incredible second run

See the ROC can't help themselves after all the scandal of drug taking in athletics.

If they are so dependant on drugs why don't they initiate an 'Unclean Games' competition?!!

Sadly not.

Two lost games against "weaker" opposition and it looks like they're out.

Still got a bit of outside hope but that is what kills you !

Very disappointing.

Even the BBC coverage gave  up half way through.

Yeah, still mathematically possible but relying on other teams to do them a favour now. Disappointing, as you said.

Think it is going to be down to the men to get medal.

GB ladies curling still 4th thanks to China beating Canada (obviously someone high up told the Chinese team to improve!) so think a win v Russia will see them through .

When's the last time we didn't win a medal at the Winter Olympics?

I think the mens curling will to be fair but it's a lot of pressure.

1992 apparently.
