I'd take a 2-1 loss, tbh... I expect us to be playing to win the game, since we are better off playing in their half than ours. I don't know who is in the squad...I hope we can blood a few youths tonight (does anyone know who else aside from Flynn travelled?) I know all the U-18s are in Manchester, but there are few too old for the Youth Cup.
filbertway Posted 24 February 2022 Posted 24 February 2022 I can't shake the feeling that we lose this tonight Going there thinking the job is done off the back of 2 decent performances in the league. All set up for the classic loss haha 2

And say what you want, it's the least major but has effectively replaced the cup winners cup. Yes ****ing please. In all honesty, I think we have a shot, if the players can get up for it. There are some good teams left if we get past Randers, that's for sure, but in all honesty, all of the "better" ones are on pace to qualify for Europe through the league, and frankly have enough of a European pedigree to hold this competition in disdain. We don't have the league path, nor the pedigree. I hope the return of some key players puts some fire in the belly of the team. 1

Along with the returning players I think this could be the catalyst we need to spark a return to winning form. We have been playing better in recent weeks and if we shore up the defence a bit we will be able to get over the line in those games we should have won.
RowlattsFox Posted 24 February 2022 Posted 24 February 2022 Surely there is no coming back if we go out tonight? Hopefully we don't make it difficult for ourselves. Get the first goal please.
mozartfox Posted 24 February 2022 Posted 24 February 2022 First goal will be vital. They get it and its game on. We get it and we should be home and hosed. If we do lose, FT, should be hacked and disabled by some Russian Trojan.
enmac Posted 24 February 2022 Posted 24 February 2022 I predict a 3-1 win. Attack is the best form of defence. 1
Supergray22 Posted 24 February 2022 Posted 24 February 2022 I reckon a Desmond. 2-2. Safely through. KDH and lookman

mozartfox Posted 24 February 2022 Posted 24 February 2022 Anyone any idea how many Foxes fans there tonight?
jeffschlupp Posted 24 February 2022 Posted 24 February 2022 Schmeichel Albrighton Amartey Vestergaard Thomas Tielemans Ndidi Lookman Maddison Barnes Iheanacho Subs: Ward, Jakupovic, Soyuncu, Choudhury, Soumare, Dewsbury-Hall, Perez, Daka
Phube Posted 24 February 2022 Posted 24 February 2022 Thank god we haven’t gone two up front against such a European powerhouse!
FoxinNotts Posted 24 February 2022 Posted 24 February 2022 Don’t understand why we’d risk playing our only fit left back 🤷🏻♂️

Not a bad lineup but I wonder whether we could have afforded to gamble on resting a couple more at the start, and see how it goes - Soumare for Tielemans and Hamza for Ndidi.
