Should we acknowledge that winning by less than two clear goals is a poor result tonight.

I'd take a 2-1 loss, tbh... I expect us to be playing to win the game, since we are better off playing in their half than ours. I don't know who is in the squad...I hope we can blood a few youths tonight (does anyone know who else aside from Flynn travelled?) I know all the U-18s are in Manchester, but there are few too old for the Youth Cup.

I can't shake the feeling that we lose this tonight lol

Going there thinking the job is done off the back of 2 decent performances in the league. All set up for the classic loss haha

I just think it would be ****ing hilarious that our worst season under Rodgers could result in us winning our first major European trophy. And say what you want, it's the least major but has effectively replaced the cup winners cup.

Yes ****ing please.

In all honesty, I think we have a shot, if the players can get up for it. There are some good teams left if we get past Randers, that's for sure, but in all honesty, all of the "better" ones are on pace to qualify for Europe through the league, and frankly have enough of a European pedigree to hold this competition in disdain. We don't have the league path, nor the pedigree. I hope the return of some key players puts some fire in the belly of the team.

I think that’s right. I do think we have a good chance. Along with the returning players I think this could be the catalyst we need to spark a return to winning form. We have been playing better in recent weeks and if we shore up the defence a bit we will be able to get over the line in those games we should have won.

First goal will be vital. They get it and its game on.  We get it and we should be home and hosed.

If we do lose, FT, should be hacked and disabled by some Russian Trojan.

Don’t understand why we’d risk playing our only fit left back 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'd have liked to see Thomas rested but dunno who would be the alternative unless one from the u-23s.  Not a bad lineup but I wonder whether we could have afforded to gamble on resting a couple more at the start, and see how it goes - Soumare for Tielemans and Hamza for Ndidi.

Who else could we play if he is the only fit left back? I am missing something…..
