A bit of a late heads-up, but assuming anyone's plan was to travel there today by car ferry:

Thinking more for folks going back tomorrow - not clear what the "announcement" later today will be, but it sounds ominous. Would advise anybody coming back via Calais to keep one eye on it.

Don’t suppose anyone is flying back from Beauvais late tonight? As it said Paris on the flights I assumed it would be in and around but it’s like an hour outsidelol any advice on how to get there?

There's a shuttle bus from Paris that's timed for each flight: https://www.aeroportparisbeauvais.com/en/access-parking/paris-airport-shuttle/

A dump, really ? I thought it was a nice city.

I don't find these nondescrpt European cities anything to shout home about. Standard formula - big square, coffee bars, weird Europeans arsing about drinking coffee and smoking. No colour, charcater or jazz, just all a bit drab. Compare it to the cities of South America and the Far East which are a proper sensory overload. Anyway, had a good time yday overall.

Good trip folks? As good as Randers?

Brilliant. I'd say this slightly edged Randers for the sheer jeopardy.

A french dump, but not as much of a french dump as i expected. Better than Randers for me. Weather probably helped in that regard.

Dump? Better than Leicester.  Not as good as Randers for me. Never as good when we're spread all over the City. Single point of focus is better in my opinion.

Honestly would much rather live in Leicester than Aarhus or Rennes. There’s loads to do. I do not see the appeal of nondescript and sleepy French/Italian/Spanish places for more than 48 hours.

Absolutely fantastic....Gorgeous city especially the old town. Very friendly Rennes fans and especially gracious after the match.

Had quite the opposite with their fans tbh. Really sour grapes - outside of Sevilla, some of the most arrogant fans I’ve met. Unsurprisingly on Wednesday night, we were treated like kings in Nantes

Just on our way back from a lunch, walk and subsequent draw anxieties in St Malo

Rennes was anything other than sleepy last night - ridiculously busy the bars were with students.

GIMME GIMME GIMME A MAN AFTER MIDNIGHT!

You know who you all are! 😜

Brilliant trip, just about home. Start planning the next one now. Hopefully a decent allocation and a full away end.

It wasn't a dump at all. Pretty and lots of independent shops and eateries. An absurd amount of little art galleries and book shops.

However, I do largely agree. Leicester can't hold a candle to this sort of pretty,.pleasant sorta city sized market Harborough....but there's an edginess and urgency and splash of danger to living in a UK city and as such, I wouldn't trade Leicester for Rennes
