Any chance of Iversen starting today? Surely the gaffer will not continue to stick with Danny Ward after the Tottenham match. The last thing you need is a keeper who's low on confidence heading into an East Midlands derby.

Danny Ward is Brendan's number 1. That will not change.

Unfortunately while Brendan is here he will stick with his favourites. Iverson, Praet, Mendy, Kel, Daka, Cags, Perez, Albrighton are destined for a life on the bench unless it's a dire emergency 😔

Iversen is also more experienced, in terms of actually playing football rather than getting bench splinters

Could have the opposite effect, make him hungrier. I don't know what his mentality is like but he surely realizes Rodgers could be out soon and a new manager could look at him.

I’m really, really not a fan of knee jerk reactions and dropping players - especially keepers - in and out of the team. But SURELY Ward’s performances so far this season warrant giving a Iversen a chance?

 

Plus it’s not like Iversen is a rookie. He’s already proven in the Championship and is or has been a member of the full Denmark squad.

Not being funny... but any other player that is out of form gets bummed.... and hung out to dry....

But ward IS the goalkeeper and maybe needs a break... if iverson is any better he knows he has a fight on his hands and has to do better, but until the change has happened we won't know

Iversen had a good game today I thought and kept yet another clean sheet. He was very good with the ball at his feet maintaining a passing accuracy of 100% out of 19 passes according to SofaScore!
