fair enough but my point still remains his days of being on loan should be over, either playing games here next season or sell

Yeah I agree

It is a shame because I really like him, but I get the feeling he doesn’t want to come back here and probably play 10 games next season if he is lucky because I just can’t see us dropping Kasper

I would like the idea of loaning him out for just 1 more season, let Kasper leave on a free in 2023, and give Ward, Iversen, or someone new to all be competing for first choice rather than an outright clear number 1, as really Kasper hasn’t had any threats to the number 1 since he has been here

Didn't he say a couple of weeks back that he's done with loan moves and wants to come back here & challenge?

Great dilemma to have. The Welsh no1 as a back up and this guy too.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kasper left this season, probably somewhere like Portugal like his dad did. It's possible iverson could be our number 1 next season.

For me makes sense to loan him to a prem team assessing him to takeover from Kasper

Is he good enough to be starting on a new promoted PL side?

Who knows, but it's a huge risk for us to try him as an unknown without ever playing in the league.

Guess the same can be said for any team

I'd look to sell Ward and then play Iversen in all the cups and in some league games if it upsets Kasper so be it

Huge achievement and bodes VERY well for the club if we use him, which I think he will.

Harvey Barnes was basically player not only of the season but entire division when he was at WBA before returning to the club.

KDH was Luton's player of the season last season, and arguably our best player this.

So we KNOW top Championship players can make the step up. Other good examples are Maddison for us, Eze for Palace, Mount for Chelsea, Gallagher for Palace / Chelsea, etc.

i think he’s good enough to be starting for us. But we have kasper, so decisions need to be made.

I'm a big fan of Kasper but maybe the time has come for Kasper to get his move to a CL side and for us to give Iversen his chance.

Only chance of that is for Kasper to go to a foreign team of course.

The sooner Iversen is brought into the squad the better.   He must not be held up any longer by Ward and Jako. Interesting that he has come on leaps and bounds under a different goal-keeping coach.

There are clear advantages in the promotion of iversen.

Obviously financial value considering he's a Leicester player, but also the similarities to Kasper at 11 years younger leaving a lot of scope for development in his ball playing ability etc. While Kasper at  35 hasn't had his best season by any stretch, the value of real shot-shopper can win you games and most of all points at crucial games of the season.

Interesting to see where his career goes either way.

Kasper is a great keeper, this problem with him not coming for crosses has only arisen since Rodgers has been here and we can't defend corners as a unit. It wasn't a problem when we were winning the league and shouldn't be a problem now. It would ease the pressure on the defence from set pieces if he came for more crosses, of course, but he's not the issue, nor is the defence imo it's the management. He still, over all, is as good if not better than any keeper we'd be able to attract. As for Iversen, I do like Danny ward more than most on here but would be absolutely fine with Iversen being our number 2 next season.

Sell Ward and bring Iversen back to compete with Kasper. With view to him taking over as number 1 the season after.

If I remember correctly him not coming for crosses has been an issue for years, since he Championship.

And for as long as I can remember we've had an issue conceding from corners. This season is just the worst we've had it.

perhaps it wasn’t a perceived problem with huth/maguire and Morgan as CB’s ……

Same difference if the corner is dealt with it's dealt with. He's never had a great command from set pieces but it's not been a glaring issue for 10 years but since Rodgers has been here it has. So what's causing the issue? It'd be great to have a keeper come for more corners but if he can't pull out wonder saves to keep us in games like Kasper has done consistently his entire career then we're screwed.
