They must be really short of defenders if Vestergaard still gets called up. It's not based on form obviously.

Having a great season at Preston, regularly pulling off wonder saves, and has now received his first call up to the Denmark National Team!

He's actually been called up a couple of times to the Senior team, just never got on the pitch. Don't think he'll get a game for his country until after Kasper hangs up his gloves either. But its a testament to how well he's playing that he's been called up again though!

Amazing that Christian Eriksen has been called up.... he's playing great for Brentford and Ivan Toney has rediscovered his goal scoring with Eriksen providing the passes.

Shame we didn't get Eriksen in January as he would have been perfect providing balls to Daka and Iheanacho

Playing instead of who ??

we had more pressing problems in other areas and we couldn’t find the money for those!

Get him back next season, give him cup games and filter into prem team from Christmas onwards ready for kasper leaving that summer.

I don't think this will happen.

He wants to be playing and wants to be a number 1 somewhere next season.

Either he will come back as our number 1.

He gets another season long loan.

Or he will be off permanently.

He's not going to come back to sit on the bench for the majority of the season.

Some big decisions to be made by both club and player.

Hopefully loaned out for another season and then bring him in summer 2023 when Kaspers contract ends

Either keep him in the squad next season or bring in a new GK to be number two to Kasper who will eventually take his place and start in cup games.

We desperately need a GK who can command his box as an option in the squad - not sure if this is Iversen's strong point

I was going to say the same thing, pretty sure he's been called up previously.

If we Loan him out again it has to be to a promoted prem side or a top division European team. Then he’s more ready to take over the season after that way 👍

If you think kasper's distribution is bad wait till you see this guy.

He's a great goalkeeper though and comes for crosses.

Hmmm....you got me there....🤔 he's better then Perez!🤣....we were linked with him before.....we need someone to provide the balls to Daka and Iheanacho witch needs sorting out.

Thankfully it sounds like he is actually trying to improve his distribution (I imagine we will soon put a stop to that in the summer)

Brilliant stuff. When does his contract end with us? I can see him being the next #1 after Kasper. No doubt Kasper has perhaps had some influence in to his call up.

Seems to have a very bright future. Let's hope its with us.

I think he’ll have a similar fate to sowah. Sold off in summer to generate some extra funds that we put toward better players whilst his stock is high

I think Ward should go before Iversen...

....back in the day you had #2s eventually succeeding #1s but I am not sure how often this happens now!!!

Were we not looking at Henderson, as a possibility to replace Kasper?

Wouldn’t be shocked if Kasper left at the end of the year and he was our number one.

I would be very surprised if Kasper left at the end of the season.  Any particular reasons for thinking he may leave?

Had good reports from Preston and Rotherham.

Not more he can do when out on loan.

I'd be all up for making him number 2 (if Kasper stays) and filtering him into the side via cup games.
