Games in hand = level with Wolves

Been a disrupted season, but with games in hand, win them all and we're level with Wolves...could we do the opposite of last couple of seasons and have a blinding finish to the season?

Just been thinking about this. It's a good thing to aim for. The league is over and I don't really give a shit but if we manage to finish 8th then that really is an incredible season when you take into account our injuries

The higher we finish the better...just looking at the table and games in hand, it's possible to finish above 8th...just watching against PSV with Fofana and Evans back, we looked very good after initial Gotze chance

Have we won 3 consecutive league games this season? Genuine question.

Where an earth have you plucked that figure from? It's less than half that.

Given how bad our accounts have been/will be after covid, every penny counts. Whilst £4.5m might not seem alot in footballing terms it can make a difference to our accounts. It may not be £4.5m per place, I may be wrong with that, but the way some on here act, some would be fine with us finishing 15th/16th if we won the ECL. Whilst I'm 100% behind us going all out for us to win the ECL I certainly don't think we should be tossing off the league.

Right...stupid question! I've supported City since my grandad took me when I was about 8...lived in Whitwick all my young life and nearly everyone else I knew supported the likes of Man Utd, Everton, later Chelsea and Arsenal...but when we won the league, they celebrated like they had supported City always too...I thought that sucked!

Wolves have played 31...with 49pts

We.      have played 28...with 37pts...

 

Thats 12Pts difference ..Not 9pts..or have I miscounted..under the  influence,Too much Morfin intake...:frantics:

Why not? Before they were games in hand, they were games we would go and try and win anyway

Because there is an old saying that, at this stage in the season, points in the bag are better than games in hand. Even the poorer teams have a lot to play for and results are less predictable.

 

That’s without mentioning the fact that injuries and form have rendered us inconsistent all season. Or that a loss to PSV could see a change of mentality with players “on the beach” and without the right focus. 
 

I would be absolutely amazed if we won 4/4 and got 12 points, but also very pleasantly surprised
