Is BR high when he makes some of these decisions? Bombscare Amartey starting is just bizarre. He's clearly trying to make a point by dropping players from the team when in reality, its his whack tactics that has put us in this position.

This is a tough one, really want Everton to lose, but a poor end to the season could give me an outside chance of not having to see Rodgers at the club come July.

 

I suppose drawing at home and getting out done by Lampard over 2 games is embarassing enough to be fair.

Despite Everton being utterly horrendous, you just know we will be huffing and puffing the whole game. Overthinking everything, playing 10 more passes than necessary, looking to go backwards rather than run at them and spend 90 minutes trying to roll it into the net. As long as we have that 70% possession though Brendan.

Unlike some people in this thread, I actually WANT TO SEE US WIN!  I WANT to see us actually put up a fight, for once in a while, to at lest show that the players care, if nothing else, otherwise, WHAT IS THE POINT?

Maybe he is, but goodness sake, is that really the first tactic people see looking at that lineup?

On recent performances that is pretty optimistic, even if they are the worst away side in the league… I’d take not conceding from a corner in the first 15 mins tbh.

It doesn’t matter what the squad is, they are all drilled into playing the turgid, boring style of football Rodger’s is seemingly happy with.

 

I hope I’m wrong but this will be slow out from the back, let the opposition reset, fullbacks will get forward then pass back to the defence, Everton will press and we’ll pass out of defence causing errors.

 Rinse repeat.

Regardless of where Amartey is playing, he shouldn’t be starting in the first place.

 

It’s another tactical error by Brendan before we’ve even kicked off. Why not play Thomas instead of Amartey and shift Castagne to RB.
