Who do you think is better to buy uniforms, Daka or Barnes?

I am a Japanese who recently started supporting Leicester. I would like to buy a uniform, but this is my first time supporting a foreign league and I don't know much about the players. I had to choose between Daka and Barnes because I wanted to buy a uniform of a player who suits my taste, is aggressive and is less likely to transfer or retire. Which do you think is better?
(I have to decide by tomorrow.)

I know full well how great Birdie is, but I want to make it a number that others will not choose as much as possible.

I am planning to buy uniforms for the 2021-22 season because they are being discounted, so buying uniforms for next season is not an option at this time.

I would say Barnes because there is a good chance that Daka isn't the number 29 by the time next season starts whereas Barnes will be the number 7.

 

But the real answer is you should be getting Vardy 9 on the back of any kit.

I’d recommend Barnes from those 2. I’m not convinced Daka will get much gametime next season without European football.

Personally, I wouldn't go for a name on a shirt. Players come and go but the team is always there.  Of your choices - Barnsey cause he's come through the ranks and, on his day, is brilliant. 

 

Not sure why you've not considered Vardy. It's not even a question. Best player we've ever had.

If you are looking for an attacking player who might not leave or retire you could go for Maddison.

 

Though if he keeps this form up there might be interest from other clubs in summer 2023.

 

Edit- from your choices Barnes is the sensible option

If I had to pick from those two, I’d choose Barnes. More minutes and as another user has said, Daka won’t be 29 forever. I don’t put names on my shirts, prefer without and maybe get a badge on the sleeve instead.

Daka, a gamble

Vardy always in fashion, you can pass it on to your grandchildren.

Personslly I think Barnes in a short skirt and white socks would look ok. He should have the embarrassed flushed face too after not squaring to Vardy last match,

If you really want to stand out, go for Vestergaard 23 😝

Wait for the new kit to arrive and have your own name in Japanese put on it.

I don't think people would know you're a knowledgable fan if you picked Vardy. He's our most famous player. If anyone's only heard of one of our players, it'll be him. I think people would probably think you're a more knowledgable fan if you went with a more obscure player. I do agree that Vards is the sensible choice, though. He is the GOAT, after all.

 

@sususuuuu9, I think I'd go for Barnes out of those two, for much the same reasons others have already said. Home-grown, done more for us so far, more likely to keep shirt number, etc.
