One thing that I can say is that drummer must be absolutely shattered. Was at it all game lol

The noise will come in time. It was the early game on a Sunday. I can't remember a single game when it's actually been bouncing for this time slot.

Forest on a Monday night will be properly awesome I think.

Doesn’t matter what we do or try to do, whilst we have songs like that “we always back the lads” our atmosphere will always be shit.

To be fair to them they do try to make up different songs which nobody else seems to do these days. Some of them are not everyone's cup of tea,   but kudos to them for at least trying to make up some songs that are original.

Not one club’s fans have copied that awful shit chant. I wonder why…

This simply isn’t true, if something starts and can be heard then it’s joined in with straight away.

Been doing aways for longer than I care to remember and first saw a UFS banner at Huddersfield, maybe the season Pearson was dancing with the fans on the pitch, could have been previous to that though.

When the priority scheme was in force  we were a row above or below the half a dozen regular UFS lads that used to go to all the games, I think I know what I hear.

In fact one occasion at Eastlands I did ask why they stopped singing from about 70 minutes onwards, the reply was we have tried all game and there's only so much we can do, admittedly we were being battered, (I think Aguero scored very late on as well) but I thought their philosophy was to sing til the end.Just stood in silence while others started chants.

I am all for a better atmosphere but there does seem to be a them and us divide on this, not just from me but I have heard it from others as well.

Tifos, hats off to them for the time and cost involved in planning it as they always seem to go well on the day.

So not only are the stadium acoustics at fault for the noise but now the time slot affects it, it shouldn't matter what time the kick off is unless you need a belly full of beer and can hardly stand up before you create one.

I'm not a fan of it myself either, but at least they have made the effort to make up something original. We do have an old and limited song book to be honest, and I have to say that some of that is because of all ticket, all seater stadiums which as they, again to be fair, have pointed out, makes it hard for all the fans that like to sing to come together, to actually come up with new songs.

Every match I went to last season, I was either sitting by gobshite coked up morons or loud ignorant Neanderthals.

If everyone was more like this lot then maybe I’d not have hated going to games so much?

It's just a matter of fact really innit. There's not a single good atmosphere in the prem for lunchtime Sunday games.

I moved out of SK1 and into G1 and tbf I thought the singing section was pretty good considering it’s the first game. I expect it to be extended after this season which will only make it better.

Keep up the good work lads.

They couldnt sell all the season tickets for the singing section they were given. Don't see much point in extending it.

Someone commented earlier that they had never heard of Gerry cinnamon, maybe some of these are of the older generation.. I heard it once today but very faint the dusty Springfield, we only love the boys in blue (which i love also by the way).. perhaps if that was sung more and louder then some of the older supporters might have a wiggle in their seat, even a little sing song at the same time.. :D in other words, more often please :scarf:

It has definitely been getting worse in recent times, I completely agree with you. A tad worrying really.

Are you talking about changing "to the Europa League"  to "to Albania", and  "Johnny Evans at the back, Jamie Vardy in attack" to "Daniel Amartey at the back, Patson Daka in attack?"

If so it's because we got knocked out of the Europa League, and because Evans and Vardy were barely featuring through injury at that point.

Yes, we had fans mumbling all sorts, if it was kept the same there wouldn't have been mixed lines despite what cup we were in or the players who were playing, Ewan doesn't play for us now or score against Derby but those lyrics haven't changed and we all know them.

Honestly cannot understand how you can say this, there's litteraly an open invite to get involved in this thread.

Hospitality wasn't sold out for today, no need to expand that with the new East Stand I guess?

Next thing you will be having someone with a megaphone trying to get things going, like the Americans. I just don't agree that a crowd needs orchestrating. Football is about spontaneity, responding to what's in front of you. Trying to orchestrate a crowd is as embarrassing as the prawn sandwich lot that go to football, all be it in an opposite way.

You've mentioned the Kop at Filbert St was a great atmosphere, why was it? Because it was 90% full of pissed up blokes who if you studied would observe that pissed up people are spontaneous and also won't shut up hahahaa.

What's the alternative though? You won't get a section of 5-10k that are all that demographic any longer, something does need to be forced otherwise left to our own devices, we end up with what we serve up week in, week out and its terrible.

Ohh really? Find that quite surprising considering what I was told by the club when I went down to move my ST seat.

Maybe stop going with your family. Every game I went to everyone around us was fine.

You should’ve said hello at one of last season’s matches ;)

The atmosphere in English football was lost when it went PG, I don't think it can be saved now.

There's no back and forth between home and away fans anymore it's just completely gone.

Credit to them, I thought from SK3 it sounded alright. It's early days and it will take time, like anything does.

Honestly think some have done blue tinted glasses on because in the 15 years Ive sat in the kop the atmosphere has been flat more times that it's been good. Who ever the manager!

Also what is going on with L1 looked utterly dead today.

Only love the boys in blue is a good one, it got one run through today as I recall, 30 seconds of it, When you're smiling, never heard it albeit the Jersey Budd at kick off and When you're tired and weary, when was the last time we sang that?

Songs we all know, not songs someone has just posted up on a sing song thread linked to Gerry whoever.

Was it the usual heavily-tattooed large guy (Lee or something)?
