every time i've seen hamza for watford (3 games) he has floated on the edges of the game, not asserting himself on the midfield or bossing anything and sitting in pockets of space where he neither takes the ball of the defence nor particularly disrupts the opposition. Every now and again he charges from nowhere and hammers someone and the crowd like it. Other than that he doesn't do much. Mendy and Soumare are markedly better players, positionally and on the ball. He has athleticism but he will have to come on leaps and bounds in order to be a premier league player of any quality.

....seems much like his performances in the U23s as opposed to what he was doing playing for us!!!

There are tremendous opportunities for him to develop but the reluctance to utilize the spaces he finds himself in and to attempt to have some effect on the game and he seems to still not believe that he can become that player. He really cannot continue to play in this fashion, it is a waste of his talent and perhaps the reason he never really pushed to get out of this club.

To an extent, he reminds me of Mendy, who could be, for me a very influential player for this club, put plays to half his ability, his reluctance to take on more responsibility, because he is more than capable of doing so, such a waste.

Will Hamza have any say so in that option to buy deal? Im not suggesting he’ll be back with us but if he plays well and Watford don’t get promoted then he might look for another prem team that’s just got promoted.

I doubt we need an intercepting ball-winner without a lot of forward movement being as we have Ndidi. And I'm not sure after six months he'll be a lot more versatile. I reckon Watford will snap our hands off for 6 million. In retrospect, we should have increased it a bit.

He put in some heroic performances at RB last season when were struggling to get a backline together but he doesn't have the discipline to be a top level Prem midfielder. I can't remember if it was 19/20 or 20/21 when he covered for Ndidi for a few games but his positional awareness was zero. Going off chasing the ball putting in tackles out wide or up the pitch and just leaving spaces behind him. Rodgers view of him is so low that at times last season he changed the formation rather than bring Hamza on.

I wish him the best but if Watford offer us £6M we should take it and move on.

To be fair the pornstar post was put on here many hours before i had a chance to review. Nonetheless, i have posted in support of our beloved Choudhury.
