Just been looking him up on Wikipedia, apparently he worked at John Lewis whist playing for Newport at non league level in the Isle of Wight, supporting his young family. Sounds like a good rut to be stuck in to me, he should have ignored his ambitions.

If I was paid vast amounts over the odds and it became clear I was incompetent, I’d take the wage and take the stick… laughing all the way to the bank.

 

He clearly thinks us fans are idiots and carries on confirming to himself he is not only better than us, but he’s better than our football club. He doesn’t give to jots about what we say. He’s genuinely deluded and nothing we say will have any effect on how he perceives himself.

 

I don’t necessarily think those traits are bad as a footballer/manager as you’re likely to get some grief throughout your career.

It’s funny because I’ve never warmed to him and yet I’ve read/watched more about him than I ever have in the last couple of days. It’s wild how many players have come out talking about his cringe worthy antics. Left that same mrs he was supporting for someone younger he worked with as a manager too.
