Matt Hancock appears as popular as a fart in a lift. Shocked.

What did anyone expect?

He's duplicitous. Seems like a decent bloke but is actually a **** and someone who told people they had to obey lockdown whilst he was sucking some woman's tongue.

Can't be bothered to remain in Parliament representing his constituency. Rather take the magic money from IACGMOOH.

He's a ****wit. Distasteful, and for all his humble pie on the show and "I'm a quite a likeable and amusing chap", self-presentation, will be revealed as a charlatan.

Equally, WTF is Owen on there for? Thick as pigshit. Probably only there for the girly/mumsy vote. Sadly, he's associated with Leicester.

Boy George? £1 million to appear (reportedly).

Ant and Dec, making a ****ing fortune again. For doing **** all whilst living in a 5* luxury hotel in Oz.

Sorry, I'm ranting.

Joe Swash to win...

From what I read on social media Matt H is starting to change a few opinions. Still probably hated on the large but I think some of camp mates actions, particularly Sue and Chris have shown them in a poor light. Especially when they're happy to mingle with other people who have done wrong, none more so than Ant who seems to be one of the few people in celeb world to have been shown sympathy instead of outrage for drink driving and nearly killing a family because of it lol

Whatever you think of his part in the Covid response, Hancock shouldn't be there, because he's a serving member of Parliament.

Criticism of other people there is harsh though. They're in a no win situation.

They want to enjoy the experience and have a good time.

Hancock going in is production companies dream though, guaranteed headlines every single day.

The other people are an afterthought this year.

He wants forgiveness... ok-  give your fee to charity.  Job done

I've seen glimpes of this series via youtube etc... some interesting discussions. But overall it's too much of a reserved atmopshere. Matt is sickly and should be no where near this show, Owen Leicester fan or not is certainly not repesenting the area well comes across as a bit of an idiot, Sean Walsh boring, Chris Moyes Boring, Jill Scott lovely as always barely given screen time, Mike Tindall looks bored to hell in their. Honestly series is becoming dated fast, loved it back in the day but I just feel it's about five or six years past it's sell by date.

why do the ethnic minority contestants tend to be the first that leave these reality tv competitions first?   Both celeb and strictly are annual illustrations of this.

Either because they're a bit of a knob, or added little to the show

Add dwarfism to that.

Although she was shite, actually.

(Genuine) Question to anyone who’s watching it and might recognise this stuff:

Is Matt Hancock autistic? Or at least somewhere on the spectrum.

If you watch any of these shows you’d know that’s only true occasionally

I never noticed it at first but once I had I checked back through years of these shows and found that it’s way more often true than not and has very little to do with character or ability

Give some examples then?

Little things. Pretty much everyone in the camp sees there’s something unusual about him but can’t put their finger on it. It’s like there are certain things where he excels but other things where there’s something missing.

The main thing is perception of others. For instance, a few days ago, he and a couple of others won a “feast” on a beach. Which is fine, just part of the show. Meanwhile, the others had the usual sort of meal that they do in there. In the evening, when the others were finishing their lesser meal, Hancock said that if there was any veg left he’d quite like some. Some were aghast that he’d asked. You could put that down to selfishness, but it’s like part of a pattern where he doesn’t automatically see things from other people’s perspectives. There have been other incidents too, all small things.

That’s not to say that he doesn’t care, more that it’s something he needs to work out rather than being instinctive. His camp mates can’t work him out. People might read it as a lack of empathy, but I don’t think that’s the case. It’s more lacking the realisation, which just comes across to me as more of an autistic trait. It’s something that, if so, I doubt he realises himself.

You could look at this year for a start on celeb

I suppose someone somewhere will do a study on this across countries to evaluate if there is a pattern.  We have enough years to smooth out any statistical anomolys such as the ethnic contestants being of poorer quality.  Although there should be the same chance across all participants

It's probably just the result of a lifetime of privilege. Just a complete lack of awareness of other people's struggles, because he has never struggled. I doubt it is a medically issue just a result of his upbringing.

It's very obvious on strictly, we comment on it every year.

I’ve seen people on there who are a product of their upbringing before though - they’ve had plenty of toffs over the years and they’re often either eccentric or horrible. Hancock’s different.

*Worth adding that I’m not saying there isn’t an obliviousness there - it comes across that there is - but that it feels like there’s more to it than simply not caring. It’s more like he can/does care but needs it explaining first. Like he’s on a different level to everyone else. (Sideways rather than over or under.) I think that then comes across at times as suggesting that he’s faking it, but I don’t feel like that’s correct.

Some good examples there!....

I don't watch strictly as someone else mentioned so can't comment. But this series in particular, looking at social media Charlene became one of the least popular quite quickly after Matt joined. No surprise she went first. Little more surprised Scarlett went last night ahead of Sue atleast. Just feel some of the bigger cocks in it this year still have a fairly big "fanbase" (Chris, Boy G) otherwise they'd probably all go too

I don't feel there is a standout to win this year except maybe Matt astonishingly. Jill has been fairly boring as has Mike despite both seeming decent people.
