As was said at the time, it was a sad day for the country when Johnson was allowed to be elevated to the office of Prime Minister. Those involved really ought to reflect on it.

At this stage, I think Keir Starmer could step up at PMQs and bugger a heron over the Despatch Box and still win.

Tories are ****ed.

Members of the party of personal responsibility once again unable to take and responsibility for their own action. Boris saying he's been forced out because the report is biased against him lol

Quick question: is it good when your lawyers quit?

Given his previous on stiffing legal teams on their fees, I wonder if this is another example of that?

This is what I was talking about earlier about subverting the very idea of truth and getting so many people to go along with it. Not only is it plain dickish, in certain matters it's dangerous, perhaps even fatal for other people.

And to add to the above, for the sake of that idea of truth I just hope the state authorities have enough for a conviction and a long prison sentence, because that is what needs to happen.

Downside is he'll still make loads of money in events etc

Upside is that he craved his Churchill style moment in power and didnt get it, the little shit.

Johnson gone, Trump going down, Dorries exploding and Berlusconi one step closer to Satan all on the same day…and it wasn’t even my birthday.

And don't forget Pat Robertson too.

Things might be looking up.

Trump won't go down.. He'll be President again because the nutcase followers will vote him back in...same goes with the johnson (our own little Trump)... He'll make a comeback some day because we've got millions of nutcases over here also!!

If that were true (the diehards being enough to swing things), then he would still be President now because he would have won in 2020.

He didn't.

Of course, the threat is still very real, but it isn't in any way inevitable.

Feel like Johnson could have fought this as an MP but quitting he gets to claim it was all a plot against him and his claims face no scrutiny. And his loyal supporters will believe his claims and that will serve to get him backing in whatever his end game is.

That's a fair reading given that's a pretty well-read playbook that's been successful more than once in recent times.

Ouch. Pretty sure Starmer knew all the way through what he was up to.

He absolutely knew what he was doing.

Say what you like about him, but he's a ruthless political operator who doesn't take any prisoners once he has the facts to hand.

Hmm…

Honours are stupid anyway. Let them sail off into the distance with their stupid honours and the public fully aware that they were bought through corruption.
