Maybe it’s people in general? Go to a gig and I don’t think they are the same either for atmosphere, people with phones out etc.

I personally feel so far detached from Football, the prices for tickets, the way these players rate themselves as godlike, a stadium referred to as ‘in bowl’ and by the sound of it a new PA Announcer that’s utter cringe.

My last men’s home games were Napoli, Warsaw and Moscow, I’ve not missed it one bit, I can sit on the sofa in silence just like the seat in the stadium only I’ve still got £70 in my pocket at home!

Totally agree, back in the day gigs were so much better, I remember a time where football songs would be sung at gigs.

I guess football is linked now with entertainment (In this country) and people view it as such...entertain me.  Going to the football is like going to the theatre, sit down, watch the show and then leave.

Shoutout to our “Kop”. Won’t chant or back the Leicester side, but they’ll sing for KDH.

Knew it would happen. Same as when Hume returned all those years ago, when Pearson was here, the ground sung for him more than our players.

Correct, we tore up sporting blue/green newspapers for ticker tape, we would sing half an hour before kick off on terraces not on a concourse, we looked forward to Saturday and spoke about the game until the following Tuesday.

Today our ‘in bowl’ experience consists of light shows, clappers, hyped up pa announcers and half n half scarf wavers sat next to you.

And yes, we may be old, but give me those match atmospheres any day over these ‘customer experience’ goons who come up with this matchday dross.

I started a song the last time I went and those around me in SK3 looked at me like I was a visiting fan 😂

With respect, you get the experience based on the part of the ground you choose to go in. I wouldn't expect to get atmosphere in SK3 the same way I wouldn't expect to get a slap up meal in SK1.

Would you move into a standing area when it comes?

Depends largely on the pricing structure for tickets.
To be honest, I expected a European night or three, to at least have a better atmosphere than it did, the away fans took great delight in throwing punches and causing mayhem, we couldn’t raise a song and when I started one, the bloke in front turned round and looked at me like I’d peed on his kids Christmas presents.

But some of the people chanting for keirnan on Saturday are the people that sat their in silence not chanting his or others players names when he was here, and also while we were top of the league

Loads of you still bitching and yet you carry on spunking your money at a club that doesn’t give a flying fvck. Maybe if you carry on doing it for the next five seasons something may change.

Colour me shocked. I looked at the prices and decided to give it a miss.

I've got a ST and am tempted to give it a miss.

Can't imagine spending that money.

I could go on a massive riff about it being a metaphor for society. sidelining people by giving them 'choice' that is a choice only certain people can sensibly choose to afford, and then those that choose to afford it (that really can't) get castigated for making the wrong choice.

My wife didn't renew our season tickets when I was in the hospital. I was told I was at risk of seizures due to the scar tissue - but, shucks, the medicine seems to be working, I am testing myself with crowds, and haven't had one since May. I looked at the prices, and felt lucky it didn't come back.

I miss going to the games, but I think I would miss the money more.

20% off hospitality prices through December and January, and yet we were lectured by the "supply and demand" merchants that hospitality is the lifeblood of the club and they could charge what they want! Strange!

Also heard of them calling round Leicestershire businesses trying to flog packages lol

I know a few years ago they priced out alot of the local box holders . I'd imagine they're crawling back now some of the national companies are getting bored.

I’ve put this in the Harborough Town FA Cup thread but thought it deserved posting it in here too as after witnessing what it was like today I can’t help but wonder WTF have KP done to our club.

Today’s support puts LCFC to shame and it reflected on the pitch too. Those boys played with heart, fight, determination and an utter desire to gain success for their club.
 Shame on you KP/LCFC.

We’ve just got back from a weekend darn saaaf. Brentford yesterday, hotel overnight and The Harbs game today.

Today was one of THE BEST ends we’ve been in for a long long time.

Non stop singing, loud, vocal and just incredible  Absolute scenes and limbs at every goal and The Bees should be massively proud of themselves today.

it seriously puts into perspective the shit dross that has become the KP experience.

A huge one off event today but I’d take half of that support every day of the week against what I normally have to suffer.

Massive Massive reps to every one of the 3000+ fans that made it the occasion it was and a huge well done to Harborough Town. You did the club and town proud.

As good as no doubt Harborough was, that's the biggest game in the clubs history. Their home games might as well be played in a supermarket car park in terms of atmosphere as well as the club have progressed.

Wonder how many will be at their next home game though?  It’s a one off experience so it’s bound to be up there in terms of atmosphere

you can’t really compare it unless that’s how it is every week at Harborough?

I'm not going. Not at 20:15 KO. It's ridiculous.

If they send the "why did you miss the game" email then I hope they get a lot of Kick Off time answers back.

You’d have thought and expected atmospheres to have grown over time at the KP, it’s supposed to be the Premier League, the best league in the world…..apparently but they have regressed so far that it’s probably never coming back.
Being surpassed by a one off event by a club 7 tiers away from the Prem with a comparatively tiny proportion of what we get at the KP is surely something to make us realise how sanitised and awful it’s become.
