Brendan is behind the times. He does not do emails. He likes to have control and possession.

I also received the automated reply, which will have the wise guys amongst us saying 'see, waste of time'. I guess I held out some vague type of hope that she might at least spend a couple of moments considering my thoughts on communication, but clearly not. As I mentioned at the beginning of the thread I did feel I wanted to get something of my chest, even if no one of significance read it. A modest banner outlining my discontent may appear on Saturday afternoon. Will probably change everything.

Judging by your well mannered post, I suspect it was a well thought out email, I suspect some of the better ones do actually get read by her, and some of the better ones printed as evidence, so you never know.  It probably stands a better chance than a fart voicemail message which was suggested earlier 😂

This didn't bounce back, so would appear to be the correct address. Thanks @happyfox

You should get an acknowledgement shortly, if my experience is anything to go by.

I'm sure seasoned CEO Susan Whelan is quaking in her boots at emails from a gaggle of disgruntled LCFC fans, this method should only be used to get rid of any pent up frustration, will it tip the balance of Breandan's future? No.

Or maybe - yes.  How do you know any more than the rest of us?  At least it's doing something. The one thing that's certain is that if we don't try then we have zero chance of influencing the board.

Maybe you could put some ransomware in place, the payment for which would be the immediate sacking of a certain Brendan Rodgers

The silence is what’s getting me, just talk to us. Tell us what is going on? Very disappointed in Top at present. Feels like he is a rabbit in the headlights and simply does not know what to do?

Or doesn't care.

Being a supporter of LCFC means that loyalty to the club is paramount, followed by loyalty to players. It's not loyalty to the manager, the owner(s) or the members of the executive. The income supporters generate is still significant, but, without solidarity amongst the fans - either to protest in enough numbers to stir this apparently indecisive or complacent top level or to refuse to attend matches, they won't act. Attending matches is the lifeblood of many fans - especially away games, so it's a big emotional sacrifice to boycott games. It just never happens.

No one's is interested in getting Whelan "quaking in her boots" - just to acquaint her and others that there's a huge level of disgruntlement about Rodgers amongst fans.

Considered and sustained lobbying by enough fans is, apart from protests, as much as we're able to do. Trouble is that football allows incompetency at all levels. We'll supported teams regularly find themselves in the doldrums. I just thought that, having established City as a high performing football club, the management of the club would do its utmost to maintain that level, especially considering that it's Vichai's legacy.

as he believes its none of our business

This could be the reason and perhaps some of it isn't our business, however if people stop going to matches, use banners, voice their unhappiness by whatever legal, democratic means possible, I'm sure he would have something to say, communication is two way, and alot of Fans are not happy, and not getting any sort of reason why things are as they are, sometimes an honest approach will galvanise people, at the minute we are getting BR as the face, he is taking the heat and rightly so, in my opinion, but he cant cover all bases the reasons why this or that, and now people are drawing conclusions whether true or false it's not healthy.

Just sent to Susan!

Short and to the point!

As a season ticket holder I have been proud to be a fan over the past 7 years!
Now I am totally embarrassed as to how this club is being run!

Brendan clearly doesn't care! The fans don't want him here!  When Ranieri left Shakespeare made the same set of under performing players win six out of seven games!

Why no comms? Why has Top not sacked Brendan? You have all made

This club that I love a laughing stock!

I wouldn’t be calling out appointing Shaky as a solid decision

was only ever a short term fix and ridiculous they gave him a contract

This was my note, which sadly underwhelmed the powers that be:

The last few years have without doubt been wonderful for supporters of Leicester City. I watched my first game back in 1975, and have had the bug ever since, these days travelling from Hertfordshire to take my seat in the East stand. To have won the league and the FA Cup in the last seven years is extraordinary.

Of course we could not expect that to become the norm. I suspect we may never win a trophy again in my lifetime, and it would not matter. But I do hope and expect we will compete, and we will care.

Performances for most of the last year have been underwhelming, with the odd bright exception, usually against out of form teams. This appears to be a long term trend. Meanwhile we’ve spent around £85 million in that time on player acquisitions, with arguably only one of those acquisitions having an impact upon the first team. We have endured a very bad run of injuries.

We appear to be hurtling towards relegation with a sense of inevitability displayed by the Club. The manager, in his public utterances, sounds miserable, downbeat and dejected. I hope he is more upbeat with the players, but our performances since the World Cup break suggest otherwise.

The club has followed a policy of ‘say as little as possible’ for several years now, perhaps suspicious of media tendency to twist words. This is fine when things are going well. It can backfire when things are not going so well. I’ve worked in the higher levels of the Public Relations industry for 35 years now, and my advice to the Club at the moment would be to address some of our issues in public. That could simply be in the form of a letter to your key stakeholders (season ticket holders). Help us to understand your thinking, as at the moment the silence borders on diffidence.

I am quite sure there is a huge amount I do not understand about the running of a modern football club. But neither am I an idiot.

I hope you will receive my note in the good faith it is intended, and very much hope results improve soon

Good luck with you work,
Sincerely
