Not wanting to piss on another circle jerk of negativty and blame but you lot do realise the under 21s/23s have different coaches, training times and workloads etc?

Difficult to draw to many comparisons to the first team!

I no longer solely blame Rodgers and his staff for this entirely, but he's proven that squad management has been shocking in the past but he definitely attempted to be more considerate of this at towards the end of last season.

I point the finger at Seagrave and the entire club philosophy. Whether that's absolute nonsense is possible but it shouldn't be ignored. I don't believe this is just bad luck.

A Rodgers decision that to get rid. I don’t understand why Rennie couldn’t have been accommodated in the new medical staff.

Ah yeah I remember it now. Point still stands that this was triggered by an event and not poor conditioning or training by the club like some are suggesting.

Entirely possible that something about our training pitches makes players more susceptible to this injury

There was a fall out wasn’t there? At least it was rumoured there was one. Something about Rennie refusing to classify a player as match fit in time for a game?

That might be total bollocks on my part, but I feel I’ve definitely read that on here somewhere

Probably been pointed out before, but according to the great oracle that is 'Google', it "can be" over training.  God I hate those people who google everything....doh!

"Studies have shown that those in a state of heavy fatigue, which can accumulate over weeks and months of unrelenting practice and competition, are more likely to tear an ACL--their proprioception has deteriorated and their muscles are not firing as strong as they should

Disagree. It had already started before his departure. Chilwell and Ricardo had succumbed to bad injuries on Rennies time here. They were also at Belvoir Drive at that time.

Personally the conclusion is the same, I think they are overworked. Played when not fit or training isn’t probably periodised.

Simon Murphy who had a year here as first team physio, post Rennie. He left to go Arsenal and their season suggest no issues with him. Yet the major injuries continued. Some of it was on Belvoir Drive.

Then in came Bryan English. A bloke known by Mourinho as Mr Needle. Comically made recovering players run on sand for recovery. major injuries still continued.

Then the latest physio and major injuries have still continued.

I hate to point it out to you, because I don't want to be a boblet, but neither your feeling, nor that it appeared here somewhere mean very much, from a factually accurate point of view.

Training on synthetic grass carpets every day instead of mud heaps may have something to do with this. No such problems in Jock Wallace’s days where there were crap amenities, heavy balls and Puma 300 boots.  Something needs looking at for sure.

I heard that there was definitely a clash. This is a shame, because I’ve only heard excellent things about Rennie. For those critics of critics of Rodgers, this isn’t revisionism. Because on the face of it, I welcome a change up of the medical team, adding full-time doctors and so on, I just don’t understand why Rennie couldn’t have been part of that.

Definitely heard the overworked thing. However, believe that we have clearly not improved since Rennie departure. The causation is Rodgers.

Yet when we won the Championship  and PL, we were lauded for being injury free. Under Rennie. An element of luck? Of course, but in my mind it’s got worse since Rennie left.

Of course.

But given that LCFC are pretty big employers in a small ish city, it’s of no surprise if posters on here know people at the club.

This is costing the club tens of millions in player value and actually killing the potential of these players careers. There is no way on the planet this is bad luck. They're at odds on a par with lottery wins at this point.

Just so ****ing fed up of it.

Genuine question, but has the injury record worsened since Dave Rennie left.

It seems so. It also seems that players come back unfit from injuries so they swiftly recur. We need a strong physio team that can tell Brendan not to play recovering players too soon.

Braybrooke had only just returned recently from a few weeks out
