Unbelievable. This is beyond a joke. Poor lad. Him and Alves. What is going on. Get the monks back.

Makes you wonder if Seagrave was developed on top of a medieval, sacred burial ground and we are now cursed.

Next recruit to the staff needs to be someone to carry out an exorcism.

I bet one of the construction workers was a nasty forest fan and buried a shit red shirt under the main training pitch.

Our two best youth prospects in a long time doing ACLs and it being the injury many never come back the same player from is sickening.

Appalling news, but I'm gonna hope for a more positive outcome for both lads

A) As young kids their bodies repair quick af. Like Fofana did.

B) young players are conditioned to near death. 6 months  gymwork and self reflection will do them good. rest their joints so they can play past 30.

I’m not a Rodgers fan, so far from defending him but it has to be said, other clubs such as Chelsea, Leeds, perhaps Everton and even more have had high volume of injuries recently.

Surely that suggests there is a broader issue with professional footballers than it all being down to Rodgers/Rennie’s sacking?

This was brought on by a tackle in the Brighton game wasn’t it? Him, alves and Ricky all had theirs done through poor tackles. Hard the blame the club for those really.

Surely it's possible that our training methods don't prepare our players well enough to protect them better in match situations.  It's not an improbable theory, given that our plethora of injuries has occured since, under Brendan, our successful medical staff were sacked and replaced.  I'd hope the club are looking closely at the situation.

If I’m not mistaken didn’t Liverpool have similar issues with injuries when Rodger’s was there. Something rings a bell about klopp having a pop about injuries when he first joined. Maybe I’m wrong

You’re probably right. There was me thinking it had to do with the club recreating the composite grass artificial pitches used nowadays in stadium rather than old fashioned grass pitches. They definitely grab the studs more than grass placing more strain on ligaments and tendons.

Do we really think Rodgers training methods differ so much to every other club on the planet that it’s causing these issue,  it’s a game of football they are training for how many different training methods are there?

The amount of times it’s been mentioned a review needs doing to look into this, do we seriously think that the whole sports science world (not just seagrave) isn’t already doing this in this billion dollar industry?

Its more likely down to what’s been said already, namely around modern pitches, football boots & fatigue but also the fact these players are getting bigger, stronger, faster, yet joints remain the same size must have an affect with the amount of extra force energy being put through them.

The NFL have seen an increase in ACL injuries as well during the past few seasons.

The reports they’ve undertaken have attributed it to fatigue, from more training and playing in general.

I did mine just before covid for the 3rd time whilst playing football. The doctor at the time advised me that they’ve seen an increase in ACL injuries, as players have got more skillfull, as they are looking to turn whilst the foot is planted.
Unfortunately like running dynamics (with Fofana), some people have an incorrect technique, so coupled with the fatigue, it’s more likely to get injured. He basically told me to retire and I had dodgy technique all in one sentence.

Best of luck to him in the recovery, at his age he’ll be looking at 6 to 9 months out. Hopefully be back for pre season.

Something needs to change in training cos this is crazy as someone who's studied sports rehabilitation this has become a joke. It's bad training or bad pre-habiliation

Klopp beats on about everybody and everything at every opportunity. Normally it's just garbage without evidence, the moaning berk.

His Dad is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon which I’m sure will be helpful in guiding the lad in his recovery

Or it will be a cluster like when I take my kid out in the car after they done a driving lesson and I keep saying “nah you don’t wanna do it like that, you wanna do it like this…” 😂

I think a lot of our problems occur due to bringing back players to quickly from previous inuries and not protecting them when there they have a niggle ! In Pearson and Rennies days nobody was ever risked or brought back to quickly !

The Melton Modric. Have no idea where he’s from but only place in Leicester that begins with M and he looks a bit like Luka Modric.

Wigston apparently.
