Sure, just buy Bristol City and it’s a go-er I imagine

;Yes i think you are right. However he is coming into the last year of his contract. Not that typically means much as a manager

Pearson isn't exactly pulling up trees in the championship, there's better out there than him.

Bristol Citty were a basket case with a load of players on big contracts and on the verge of an FFP deduction. He has managed those players out, has brought in kids from their academy and made them competitive while playing a bevy of 19 and 20 year olds. They want 25m for Alex Scott, obviously the best player in the Championship, who is playing for theEngland U20s World Cup team and sold Semenyo to Bournemouth for 10m plus.

Tearing up trees, dunno. Is there better probably,

****ing hell some of the names in this thread giving me serious ‘be careful what you wish for’ vibes.

Objective for this season is obvious. If we stay up the. Objectives beyond that are totally different. A short term appointment makes a lot of sense and then regroup in summer when we know where we are at.

For me it has to be someone in the short term who knows the players. Someone internal for a few weeks to get us moving and firing again.

Then the summer is where it starts with a solid appointment, Frank, Potter etc.

He still wants to manage a national team at some point
