We’re just not very good. Not sure changing the manager will change anything, but he hasn’t got the most out of this group himself, either.

Don’t think he could have really done anything different with his team selection yesterday, think we all would have picked the same starting 11, but completely unacceptable to lose that game and I do think a lot of it is down to mentality which, without knowing all of the ins & outs, probably stems from him.

Doesn't matter though. Look where Blackburn have been since they won it.

It was in response to ‘it’s in the past’ outlook, it’s all in the past, no Leicester fan should dismiss our past so readily. But hey that’s just my opinion. Yes it’s does not help now I agree, it was only the past is done and it irrelevant outlook I took issue with.

Not dismissing the past, of course they are great memories and form part of our history and those wins will remain forever by our name.

But, I don’t think we should become another Forest by living in the past. I disagree with people who basically justify him taking us down, because him won the cup.

I’m not underselling our achievements or suggesting they are irrelevant!

This is true. Pre-match posts were saying the starting line up was decent and positive.

It's what happened during the game that became very negative.

Generally over this season I've been BR in for the remainder. It's a frustrating situation to be in and I want him gone in the summer.

And in turn I am not trying to treat our current struggles as transitory and nothing to worry about, as we are in a proper mess that only seems to be going in one direction

Bang on. I think we have similar views on it, possibly I am sometimes a bit more…blunt and emotive with it!

Ranieri won us our first league title and we sacked him much faster, what's your point?

We have had 5th, 5th and 8th and an FA Cup under BR. On balance I think that’s pretty good and gives him enough credit in the bank to give him the chance to handle a difficult season. Yes he has some traits which are annoying and some of the children on this forum go on and on about them. If anybody could name somebody that we can appoint and would guarantee to keep us up I’d be happy to swap now but that’s not going to happen.
So I for one will back the current manager until he is no longer manager or until we are down  as then it won’t matter.

The worry is that nearly all of the players apart from Maddison have regressed so much. Bit of Rodgers, but also the pllayers seem weak mentally

Look literally everyone is entitled to their view so no insults or anything but I just don’t understand this any way I look at it.

Basically he won the cup and some top half finishes so he has the right to take us down?

If you were having a cardio arrest, I could either do something about it and give you CPR or I could stand by and let what will be, be because there no guarantee it would save you. I’m going to do something about it and try and save you as if it doesn’t work, I have tried. Not the tidiest of analogies but just trying to apply this situation to a life scenario…..

This attitude is what is wrong and will see us relegated

Giving CPR is the most effective way to deal with a heart attack. Sacking the incumbent and taking a possible bigger risk by appointing somebody else at this stage in the season is not necessarily the best way to deal with the situation.
Not a realistic analogy.

It infuriates me these arguments. The league win and FA cup win are now confined to the history books.

People who use that argument are just living in the past and are happy to watch the club call into obscurity.

Everything about the club at the minute from owner, manager, players and a large section of fans just make me embarrassed to support us.

Exactly. We’d happily move on players who aren’t performing for 2 years yet we stick with this utterly poisonous idiot for reasons unknown.

I did state it was a clumsy analogy. The point was clearly about opting to try and do something to make a save.

I refuse to believe any semi competent professional manager could do worse at this point. This is now as much them needing a boost and new lease of life than it is the technical skill of a manager. We are going down because we are mentally weak. So many people take the piss out of Dyche but we’d have stood such a better chance with him.

Anyway, if someone is as willing for us to go down there is clearly no debating with you so will leave you to your views…

No desire at all to see us go down. Why would I after 45 years and 600+ games? I would have been happy to have Dyche in charge, my point is the relentless complaining without, in most cases, any sensible alternative doesn’t achieve anything.

So you'd rather stick with what's not working and hasn't been for a long long time now than change it up and give ourselves a chance?

It's been getting progressively worse for about 2 years

Surely he's now used up his credit in the bank ☹️

Most struggling clubs have now changed their manager apart from Forest and Cooper has done a very good job tbh.

Apart from Jones at Southampton , all the others have had an upturn in form ,which have improved things , if only on the short term.

Leeds haven't had good results but I think they're better set up and will do better than us, if we don't act.

I'd have taken the managers in charge at wolves, villa and everton in a heartbeat

There still hasn't been any valid reasons to keep him. More people scared of change than anything else

Scared/living in the past. Rather than ‘I have this view because I saw x, y and a in the game on Saturday that gives me solid reason to be confident’.

I feel sorry for those deluded enough to still back him. The smug ones from a few weeks deserve a barrage of shit though, not only for their stupidity but their totally misplaced confidence with it as well. They know who they are.
