MattFox Posted 11 March 2023 Posted 11 March 2023 More concerned about his terrible opinions on our season and Rodgers tbh

Mr.Bingles Posted 11 March 2023 Posted 11 March 2023 As George Orwell said .. "If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear." 3

Please, if you don't think it's a concern that Gary Lineker, a footballer who made one tweet in disagreement with the government, has been told to shut up, read up on Mussolini's use of the media. Completely agree. I don't always agree with Gary Lineker, but I defend his right to say it. We are on a very very dangerous path if people are silenced.

Popular Post Mr.Bingles Posted 11 March 2023 Popular Post Posted 11 March 2023 It’s all culture war bollocks. Whilst the tabloids and Sky are reporting on Gary Lineker tweeting we are all distracted away from the genuine issues of the NHS crisis, the cost of living crisis, the fuel crisis, food banks and Brendan Rodgers inability to put together any kind of consistency 10 2 1

Popular Post sishades Posted 11 March 2023 Popular Post Posted 11 March 2023 I disagree with GL but I will defend his right to freedom of speech. Its so easy these days to have speech cancelled just because some snow flakes get offended. I attended a school 2 mikes from the notorious Bergen Belsen concentration camp and was very much aware of what Nazis did. The railway lines were still in place in the streets of Bergen. Visiting this place on a school trip was very harrowing. To compare any UK government (Labour or conservative) to these monsters is outrageous. Get a grip. 5

There are many reasons why a tiny percentage risk their lives, some are trafficked and have no choice, some have family connections, some speak the language, and many see the UK as a welcoming safe place.

Zear0 Posted 11 March 2023 Posted 11 March 2023 (edited) The other thing that really stings is knowing this is exactly what the current regime were aiming for with the impractical and unenforcable "scheme" they announced. Equivalent to that Darwin Nunez chant bloke, living rent free and he knows it. Edited 11 March 2023 by Zear0
