Literally OUR terrace anthem for decades. The fact it's not sung as much as it was is simply because we don't have a proper Kop end at this ground and our singers are split across the ground. 4 pens of grown men doing the whole thing from start to finish with wavy hands at the end....superb.

Not sure why people want to get rid of it even if they don't like it, it surely just one of a number of songs that are sung. If you want a better club anthem then come up with one that you can guarantee c 30k fans will sing rather than just slagging off WYS. As far as I can recall no one has come up with anything all the time I've been going.

I quite like WYS and it's nostalgic also as it reminds me of the old Kop years ago. However, if I'm honest, I'm just not keen on the Jersey version which is a bit of a dirge for a supposedly fairly upbeat song. I remember the Kop choir's version without accompaniment being preferable. Failing that, just stick Frank Sinatra on!

It's the Jersey version that people hate but the club has always been wedded to that version, it's from the time when they first latched on to quieting the masses with blaringly loud music pre-match, seemingly unaware most people would rather admit to having an STD on live TV than owning his single.

Didn’t sound like they hated it today, in fact it was the only song that got most of the fans joining in with at the start of the match.

Just for these relegation games can we just play some angry music or fire by kasabian. The WYS just seems out of place given our predicament. Maybe good for our final day funeral if we go down. It’s just too slow and nice right now. We need something to get the Adrenalin pumping. Welcome to the jungle (guns & roses) Christ anything that gets the players and crowd fired up. Please 🙏🏽

YNWA is slow. People love that. Just accept our fans will complain about any song to cover up they don’t sing

In addition to what I said earlier in the thread about Hibs. and "Sunshine On Leith," (rousing stuff on YouTube) another example would be Leeds. "Marching On Together" as a song, is terrible, far worse than the version of WYS that we play. However, they only really join in on the chorus, and it's their go to song, it's unique, and it works.

Really think a potted version of WYS sung regularly would work, and would get other parts of the stadium joining in.

Yeah agree, whether folks like it or not they are not going to put the Sinatra or Armstrong versions up down there. Scarves up and belt it out.
