I think a lot of fans still see us as a top 5 PL side, just missing out on Champions League.

If you're not in the money or large enough to compete by actively investing, (13/14 of all PL teams) then you are just one of the 13/14. Our journey of ups and downs means pretty much **** all in the present unfortunately and we're a relegation candidate, with most senior players on their way out. It's a terrible position to be in after a few years of European football.

Not a chance Potter would join us now or if we stayed up next season. We limit ourselves to PL "experienced" managers so the pool would already be small. Others that are in jobs 1) cost money which we don't have or want to spend and 2) would have absolutely no desire to join us.

So yeah, Jesse Marsch is probably our level. I'm happy given the circumstances, but do I want Marsch over others we possibly could have signed In September, December? Absolutely not.

We were down with Rodgers hence why we were in the relegation zone and Palace had 30+ shots against us

Anyone thinking we should have stuck with Rodger’s can have their opinion rightfully ignored. That’s insane.

Also to all those people who were baying for Rodger's blood and now unhappy with his potential replacement. What did you think would happen? Rodgers at the time was probably the highest profile manager we could attract. Did you think we'd get Pochettino or Tuchel or Nagelsman?

If you read my post history, I said many times leaving the sacking till so late in the season would mean we only attract a manager who has previously took relegation threatened jobs.

I wasnt the only one saying this either.

The contract length doesnt mean he is staying here for 3 years, under normal circumstances if a manager under performs he is out, hopefully Top has learnt from this and will be more ruthless in future.

Club remain undecided about who the manager should be. Might as well just let Stowell and Sadler manage until the end of the season and then do a proper search for the next manager.

Don’t think them 2 no marks could manage a wank never mind a football club

As long as a manager came in and played 2 up front of daka and kel, played souttar in defence instead of amartey.. played players in their natural positions I couldn’t care less who came in.. incredibly frustrating to see Adam Sadler on the touch line basically choosing a lineup br would.. they’ve learnt absolutely nothing.. Leeds are their for the taking and if they don’t get 4 points out of the next 3 games they are down, end of :dunno:

Does he come with a worse recent history than Claudio did? No.

Is he any less inspiring than Claude Puel? I'd say not.

He might be shit but if he's appointed I'll be right behind him.

Wasn't directed at anyone in particular it just seems like there is a section of our fanbase that will not be pleased unless we are top of the league playing like premium Brazil.

Here's the thing: we have to take stock of where we are.

There are lots of reasons why Leicester is not a desirable job for a football manager. We're in the relegation zone, the players are underperforming and seem to lack fight, there's not much time left in the season, the fans are unhappy, there are concerns over the financial stability of the club, star players are likely to leave in the summer even if we stay up and a major rebuild of the playing squad on a shoestring budget is needed.

So which elite level manager comes in when there's no guarantee that we'll be a Premier League club in a few weeks?

Jesse Marsch is a manager who is in the pond we're fishing in.  If it's not him, it will be someone else of a similar level.

I've said before that the life of a football club has highs and lows, we're kidding ourselves if we believed we could stay at the top forever.  We are in a low right now and need a rebuild, it's going to be a bumpy couple of years and that's a fact.

Given the late timing of Brendan's departure, my preference would be for an interim and then plan for next season depending on the division we're in, but guess what? Decent managers who are willing to take a 7 or 8 game contract are in short supply.

So, we are where we are.  A change of manager was vital.  The handling of the situation by the club has been extremely disappointing, but there's nothing me or anyone else on here can do about that.

If it is Jesse, I think we could do worse.  I think there's enough about him to suggest he could do well if he's given a chance, but we've got to play our part in the run in and that's to get behind the players and the manager and cheer the team forward, regardless of which players are on the pitch and who the guy is who picks the team is.

At this moment I just want them to confirm it to he can get on with the job. The incompetence of this board is pathetic

Don’t be so utterly ridiculous. How can you make any statement regarding the competence of the board on this matter when you have zero idea what’s actually happening?

I feel like you can make a statement regarding the competence of the board by simply observing the state of the club throughout basically all facets of it and how we've been mismanaged over the last few years if I'm quite honest.
