How many home games have Coalville called off now?

Really will be a wasted season

Posted

We've been massively unfortunate with the days that crap weather has come. Generally we're the team that everyone is playing catch up with due to our ability to get games on.

With how teams are taking points off each other this season, I'm convinced that a good run could still see us nab a play off spot. We're still yet to put together a good winning streak and we've got some very winnable games coming up.

The new gaffer just needs to find some consistency. First thing we need to do is remember how to keep clean sheets, find those and the results will start coming. We conceded something like 11 in 17 games at the back end of last season. We need something similar.

Nuneaton clown show rolls on. Investor club now dead in cot, been announced they’re withdrawing, appears a lot of key sponsors sided with the Co-Op who have officially announced that they’re looking to start up a club.

The Co-Op you’d hope will be a little more sensible, we’ll find out but it seems to have rattled a few who were desperate for a new sugar daddy to continue the 30 year Nuneaton cycle.

Relatedly, Hinckley AFC are having their 10th anniversary celebrations at this Saturday during their game against Copsewood. Kids go free, Nuneaton ST holders go free and free cake (if you’re early enough!)

Very true regarding the postponed games. We’ve had 4 in total, 2 in 3 days, but the Nuneaton game doesn’t count now.

I wish I had your faith, but I’ve given up on the League campaign. I hope I’m proven wrong.

Personally I don't see any hope for the league unless the players were all fed up with Stevo, which considering he had a core inner circle of players I highly doubt.

Too many old boys in the squad now and unless we go back to basics and use our more effective players properly rather than this 352 rubbish then it's going to be mid table I think.

I’d argue that core of inner players look bored and definitely need fresh ideas.

Second half against Leiston was a ‘lost the dressing room’ performance in my opinion.

Certainly looked that way.

Plus Doyle Charles screaming at individual players saying they were absolutely shit.

For me one alternatively for Nuneaton, is to look at merging with Nuneaton Griff. At least they have a ground which is within the town and already allocated a league sadly some people just don't want any association with Griff for some reason, it's not like there rivals.

It would take a big winning run to give us a chance of getting in. I think those last 2 defeats have probably put an end to our chances though, hope I’m wrong.

We probably need around 68/69 points so that'd be 33 points (11 wins) or 10 wins and 3 draws from the following 15 fixtures.

Hitchin H

Leamington A

Berkhamsted A

Long Eaton H

St Ives A

Stourbridge H

Stratford H

Halesowen A

Bromsgrove H

Mickleover A

Sudbury A

Alvechurch H

Kettering A

Telford H

Plus Mickleover H

8 home games and 7 away.

By no means easy, but if we actually win the games we should win without stupid cock ups and then we can go to any team in this league and pick up a result.

It's by no means looks a certainty or even likely given our current levels. However, I don't think it's  beyond the realms of possibility.

It really depends on what kind of reaction the new gaffer gets. The key will be getting back to basics though and stopping goals going in. Our forwards have more than enough talent to create and score the goals we need.

Christ almighty, how is this news. How is this a thing?

Nothing screams Guardian like "HORRIFIC MISOGYNY!!" and them then, revealing that the previously mentioned horrific misogyny is a team called Munter Hunters lol

It's a roll your eyes at them, team name, not pulling out of a competition and virtue signaling to the liberal masses. I guess being Camden I shouldn't be surprised though.

A hard rain's a-gonna fall.

At least it doesn't affect any league fixtures. And Chambo might actually be fit by Tuesday.

Most games went ahead today, we have been so unlucky with all these postponed matches.

Not sure, they will lose money with it being played mid week though.

Fantastic 4-0 win for Hinckley today to keep the wheels turning. 11 games left, counting the games down now!

A club record attendance for a regular league game too, so fantastic day all round!

Good day out at jersey bulls, lost 3-0 v Falmouth in the last 16 of the vase. 250 away fans and a 1500 attendance. Hospitality was for once done v well. Enjoyed it

The ref, who was awful, was the lino who elbowed Andy Robertson last season.
