Non-League Football 2023/34

Nuneaton FC will be groundsharing with Bedworth United for the next two seasons with an option of a third season, mixed response from the supporters due to old rivalry between the two clubs. However saying that Bedworth have been very respectful and offered to allow Boro to use The Oval rent free, in return that the Bedworth will claim bar revenue and food and drink etc. Rumours do suggest Boro are aiming to be placed the United Counties League Division One North, as well as Atherstone Town who also targeting that level. Hoping that may happen, some good teams in that league as well as a trip to Skeg Vegas.

There’s Prem North/South in the UCL. Skeggy are in Prem North, but I imagine Nuneaton would be placed in Div 1, which is Step 6, with Kirby Muxloe, Saffron Dynamo etc.

Typical of them though. Aim for the UCL which is less strong over MFL which is much stronger (and where Hinckley find themselves of course)

Not confirmed probably may come down to costs, if MFL appears to be less travelling they may go for that league.

Be playing Grantham next season then

Hinckley had to appeal to get into the UCL Div 1, as a Leicestershire club, and even then we were moved back to the MFL the following season. I’d be astonished if Nuneaton find themselves in the UCL over the MFL.

That said, even though it’s been historically strong the bigger outfits have  been filtering out over the years and if we finally manage it and Droitwich come up too there’s very very little in that league to threaten Nuneaton, granted they’d likely have a humongous budget for that league with the support and sponsorship they’ll start with. Even if both were to stay down they’ll have a ridiculous budget and I’d expect them to romp it.

If they did get promoted though there’s good money in the current landscape they’d drop into the UCL Premier South.

How was it tonight? Sounded pretty grim on twitter.

The most entertainng part of the evening was arguing with the Leicestershire FA officials about where we could stand. Suffice to say we won the argument and were allowed to stand in the pissing rain.

Another toothless display in front of goal from Coalville

Rinse and repeat today. One up front does not work. We were bright today for 10-15 minutes, but two gifts and a poor decision from the ref did for us.

The better team won, they could have had 5, but we have to do better than 2 shots on target in 90 minutes.

The lack of appreciation for a large away contigent from the players/management at the end didn't sit well with me either. Piss poor all around.

Totally outclassed, started brightly but from about the 15 minute mark onwards Macc dominated.

The style of football he’s trying to play doesn’t get the best out of this squad, may be different next season when he’s had chance to rebuild and bring his own players in.

Totally agree with the last paragraph but when you have got the numpty element of the fan base who were out in force yesterday, singing we want Stevo back in the last few games. He’s hardly likely to want to come over, doesn’t excuse the players though.
