It’s a very good chance that the Everton takeover won’t happen. They might go into administration at some point.

Then that leaves the three newbies. Ipswich will likely catch everyone by surprise initially, but then potentially fade as they won’t be able to sustain it at this level. 
 

Us, depends what we do in the summer. A few shrewd signings should see us right. I don’t think the deduction of any will be massive, and I think Enzo’s style will be better suited to the premier league. I’m optimistic, I think we will have a steady season. 
 

Im not convinced any of the teams on the playoffs will do any better either. 

They have already brought a Brazilian striker 22, for 30m joins next month

I think that 777 will lose their money unless they have a very complex security arrangement around it.  There is another lender who I believe will received 51% of the club if they aren’t paid back their loans. I don’t think 777 have that arrangement.  I’d expect mr moshiri to be making arrangements to ensure he doesn’t lose all his dough by finding a way to finance this other lender to be able to bank roll the club.  I’d be v surprised if it actually got to admin - last minute deals and all that

Well its kind of crucial to our planning thats all.

If its 6-9 points then we need to be three wins better than 18th, i think thats doable.

If its upward of that say 12 I think we have to plan for the championship again.

Key to our transfer policy and retention.

We spent the entire season pretty much bottom last time we came up then stayed up by 6 points . . .

There is not a chance that it would be anywhere near 12 points. Don't you get just 10 for going to to administration?

Very strong chance the three promoted teams will got straight back down. Neither ours nor Ipswich's defense is good enough and will concede a lot of goals in the premier League. Who knows who the third team will be but FFP will also be against all the newcomers. The Pl is slowly becoming essentially a closed shop.

Everton are in serious trouble. 777 just sound like a giant ponzi scheme, with one part of the business paying another to make them look financial stable. Regarding ourselves, Forest got -4pt due to 1 breech, and Everton -8pt due to 2 breeches of the FFP regulations. By that token I cant  see us getting more then -4pt deduction, unless we've broken the rules multiple times.

You do but it hasn’t been tested as to what then happens re your three year losses which would likely be failed and lead to an additional sanction. that would be a different charge and hearing. I would think that a club going into admin could expect to lose 16 points at least.

It's going to be difficult either way. Get the pts deduction early and we'll struggle convincing potential targets to sign. Get the pts deduction late and it's going to mess up the mentality. 

We have to wait and see. I'm certain we won't be the only ones punished next season. It's going to be a -6pts I reckon. PL and Sky want the league to be competitive (in their own minds ofc). A -12pts is highly unlikely imo.

Everton effectively got six twice but because four of the six had already been applied the first time (2 points per season) , they only got 2 the second time to avoid double counting.  I think we would expect six.

Everton won’t go into admin for me. They are in the shit in the short term though and repeatedly say so here when they were getting their points deduction reduced. 
 

Someone will buy them, largely because the new stadium gives them an asset above anything else the club has to offer. They can tie into redeveloping neighbouring land etc

Hard to see how they could pass the owners test set by the Premier League.  If they don't buy them another buyer will come forward. They are a big club with huge potential and a brand new ground in the pipeline. 

We may well have breached the rules for more than one season though not all in the same league.

The others won’t be sorted out until Jan/feb at the earliest due to the process.  Because we have even agreed a procedure to have our case heard yet, I wonder if it will all be done to co incide

One of my friends who had analysed this far more than me says that the extent of our wrongs, financially were around 4 to 5 times higher than Evertons. I understand Everton got 6 so assumed 9 would be minimum. Good point re Sky and PL though if they make it a joke the season has little drama.

I think if its as low as some predict we could still attract good players.

Its literally surrounded by the Mersey. There is no land as such to develop. This is their new executive car park

It's better to have the pts deduction pre season and plan accordingly (given the fact there won't be any more charges pending ofc). If others are penalised after Xmas it will be even better for us.
