No doubt he'd be first name on the sheet if he wanted to be here. Never seen someone look so unhappy to score.

Don't know if he has shit going on or is just being a dick, but he clearly not happy.

He’s obviously home sick for Surrey. To be honest I’m not really sure how you can play for a city and not be invested in living there, why would you care. It might work for a few but seemingly not him. He’s still by far the best midfielder we have which is somewhat unfortunate

We really need whatever the issue currently is between Winks and the club/fans to be resolved because he has to play every week if we have any ambition this season.

Stick him in a hotel between London and Seagrave, to halve his commute, and am sure he'll feel better..

I would also add that fans live for their football, and the expense that comes with it. As such they have an expectation that players who earn more in a month then most of us do in a year, should put LCFC first.

When winks public spat with Ruud over his newborn came to light, most fans sided with Ruud. I’d assume Winks would be aware of this, hence maybe his reaction tonight?

What most fans don’t understand is that for some players, family time irrespective of earnings is more important than nothing else. Not saying it’s right or wrong, but it is what it is. Players have lives outside of football.

Well articulated. 👍. And there is one of the issues. Fans expect players to be exclusively focussed on their professional role as footballers. Yet expect those same players to respect that the fans are  giving up on their life outside of football to support their team. Perspective is required. Many of our supporters for have any. We all lose it from time to time with inept displays. Myself definitely included. But some never show anything other than hatred and intolerance. It’s ridiculous.

Sakes.

RVN was certainly a crap manager, but he was right with Winks, if he was asked to stay local before a match he should have done as he was told

Behave, its one night before a game ffs. He's paid more in a year than we'll earn in a lifetime. If it was such a problem being away, he could have bought 5 houses on a street and moved in his whole extended family for that one day if he wished. We all make sacrifices with family time to provide for our families, what's so special about a footballer? RVN has been there, anyone at the top of whatever game you're in knows it takes sacrifice

We've not had ambition for around 5 years now

All employees have disagreements with their company. Good leadership helps build bridges, not walls. We are better with Winks. Club needs to own his fall-out with RVN and re integrate. All of our futures look brighter if that happens.

Lad needs to get a grip of reality.

When I had a new born daughter I had to work away all week to provide for them. These footballers are too entitled. If they don’t like it get a proper job! Turning in a shift like these willy pullers have for the past 2 years would see them fired in most workplaces.

I find it fascinating a number of our players have seemingly turned against the fans.  Remarkable considering the KP has been a happy-clapping hotbed of toxic 'support the lads' positivity for the past few years.  Regardless of the absolute shit they and the club have served up for the past few years.

Something too think about maybe?

Totally get your point. And hats off to you for doing what you needed to do. Absolute respect. But managing multi-millionaires is complex and I fear we’re but very good at it.

Especially when you consider and have seen over the last two games what we would be like without Winks.

The club were right to support RVN, winks was wrong and made it worse posting photos all over instagram on match day, any other business he'd have been sacked. Wouldn't have been so bad if we were doing okay and winks was playing well but was complete opposite, saying that, club should make some rules if they haven't already. Winks probably wants an apology from the club and that's not coming.

Footballers get more free time than most professions and get to spend more time with family than most.

The average man gets his 2 weeks off when they have a kid (I know this is increasing a little) and then it's back to work 9-5 while your 2 week old is at home.

Add the fact footballers families don't have to work and have no financial pressures whatsoever.

I mean none of us really know if this is what's causing Winks to sulk, or if he's even sulking. It could just be that it's the first round of a tinpot cup and he's not happy about not starting Sunday or today. Who knows?

This was my point. And now some have woken up out of their slumber and are starting to criticise these no marks they're spitting their dummies out. They've had a free pass for too long. I don't boo players onto the pitch but I can't say they're not deserving of it either. **** em

Yes to all of that. But winning a battle isn’t what it’s about. It’s about getting the best result for the club. Sometimes you have to just suck it up, within reason,

foe the greater good.

Players who have the arse with the club and fans never ends well, just end up poisoning the dressing room. I imagine winks wants the fans feeling like we cant do without him, he might be right, but only because we're being run by muppets

Exactly I’d never actively boo them but dsmn right they are open to criticism. The bare minimum I expect to see is some fight.

Tbf to Faes he always put in a shift, just sometimes his brain seems to be lost in his hair.

I though winks put in an okay shift Saturday.
