Inflation down!

"prices still going up, just not as fast"......

since inflation skyrocketed, prices are at least 20% higher across the board....

that's a crazy hike in prices for people to absorb in such a short space of time.

Completely impractical to carry. I’d rather pay on card.

But having less off it is a bonus when there’s more of it to carry.

Absolute ridiculous to say make fewer arrests!. Crime needs sorting out. Give tougher community sentences, don't just not arrest people!. We need to be building more prisons. If there is no deterrent of course there will be more crime. FFS.

Staggering how the country is going down the tubes. Which reminds me again the  scandal of the state of our rivers while shareholders take profits yet companies want higher bills. Perhaps get the criminals out of prison to clean up the environment of litter and crap.

Why would he call an election 20 points behind in the polls?

Has he given up?  Does he have his eye on a long holiday in August?

Latest: @Mark has called a crisis meeting in the Mods section. My sources tell me he’s planning on shutting down the forum until July 5th.

If anyone makes a "General Election" thread - can they hold their breath for longer than the thread remains unlocked?

Literally a week earlier and there would have been 200,000 young people leaving their constituencies to go to Glastonbury.

Because inflation is down, and interest rates will go down early June.

Expect the spin machine to go into overdrive about how they fixed everything.  They will be expecting the Tory faithful to just think everything is back to normal so we might as well carry on as we are.   Already seen a dumb Tory on the TV saying that prices are coming 'down' (she didn't understand what lower inflation meant).

I don't trust the British electorate, and the right wing Media are going to go full scale crazy. We should be wiping the Tories out for a generation.

Nah, I can't see anything other than an utter paddling.  The sense that they've had their shot and it's time for a change is as strong as it was in 1997.
