If he had any baws or wanted to show he's actually human, he would have stopped, called Steve Bray a twat and mentioned the awful weather, but he's ploughed on, got soaked, and it doesn't look very good, does it?

Not really.

I actually don’t mind Rishi as a person to be honest. He’s not as deluded as Johnson or Truss.

They’ve just damaged themselves so much with all the painful stuff that has gone on for the past 5 years, by repeatedly shooting them selves in the foot.

No government gets everything right, Johnson and Truss drew so many headlines. I think Sunaks stint in charge hasn’t been as painful in isolation.

Let us see what the others have to offer now. Does anyone actually have some polices and something that is achievable!?

Yeah but it’s obvious from your posts you’re a die hard Tory or if not, even think they aren’t right wing enough, so of course you are pashing the “don’t vote” “they’re all the same” “everyone is too apathetic to vote” narrative.

Your assumption is so wide of the mark as I can tell you I have not voted in the last 2 GEs.

So put your crystal ball away and stop guessing. Incidentally, it's none of your business who I or anyone else, for that matter, votes for.

We will see this picture so much in the next 8 weeks.

On a serious note, when would this have actually been decided?

When would Sunak have gone to meet the King to request dissolution? Would Sunak have personally decided in the last few days, or within 24hrs etc?

I’m guessing he’s been waiting for some good news like the reduction in inflation this morning.

Steve McLaren has basically ensured anyone in a leadership position has no choice but to get wet through when outside.

Apathy will win the day as I predict a very low turnout simply because folk are fed up to the back teeth with the malaise in our politics and can't be bothered

Tories (or any other party for that matter) shouldn't use this as an excuse though.

If there's a low turnout, it's hardly a ringing endorsement for them is it, that they can't get voters off their seats to vote for them...

Two of the worst prime minster's had to come back to back. Least Sir Keir can say, I surely can't do any worse.

Why didn't he either make the announcement indoors, or get one of his helpers to hold an umbrella above him? Basic lack of judgement.

I was talking about what looked liked a failure to react in a human way to what was going on while he tried to make his speech.  He just ploughed on.

Your response doesn't seem to be about that, so I'm struggling to see why you quoted me :dunno:

Free speech is free speech, but isn't the guy with a loudhailer creating a nuisance to so many people that he really shouldn't have the right to do that?

Steve Bray should be knighted for his service to British politics.

I probably agree with alot of his politics and he's spoiled Sunak's speech hilariously there, but I'm not sure it's right that a bloke with a loudspeaker should be able to drown out the pm and the news reporters trying to do interviews.

Happy to agree to disagree, though. lol
