...you have a lot of faith in Daka!!!

Lots of posters asking for him to come into the team, especially with Vardy and Nacho not setting the league alight. A home game with Cannon leading the line would for me be more effective. Maresca likes to give full debuts at home, and this would be the ideal game to do this.

McAteer as a 6??? The only other academy player on the fringes of the 1st team that can play that role than Hamza, is Braybrooke.

Wouldn’t say Winks plays as a traditional 6. Recon KDH could sit a bit deeper and play with Ricky in the middle in possession. Especially as we need to attack Watford. Put Kasey further forward.

 

Unless Ndidi is back in which case, a direct swap with Winks and he can play his old position for a game.

 

But Braybrooke definitely won’t be fit for Saturday. Havnt seen him feature in any of the youth teams since his injury.

...the really strange thing about this season, is that Ndidi plays that #8 role, better than most #8s in any league!!!

He makes the runs at the right time and has the awareness of what is around him and an ability to pick out a man, with a astute cross. His drawback will always be his ability to finish and if he could master that, we will have a player on our hands. I did expect Casadei to walk in and take Ndidi's role, but so far it hasn't happened and we need a complete #8 in that role.

Wouldn’t put Ndidi in Winks’ place. We need someone there who can replicate what Winks can do and Ndidi can’t do that.

Do we have anybody who can replicate what Winks can do? 

 

It's a relief that we're on the home straight to the resumption of domestic football after the international break. Two dead rubber England games don't provide much of a fix.

If Praet's not match fix, then could Albrighton perform the role? I know we see him as primarily a winger, but he's fairly flexible and reliable.

I suspect KDH or Choudhury would get it over Albrighton.

Possibly. I thought he was referring to who replaces Winks as my original question related to that. If the likes of Ndidi, Praet and Akgun are available again, I can't see Albrighton starting no matter who plays in the Winks role.

 winks replacements: 

 

1) Ricardo  with hamza at rb

2) Kdh 

3)casadei

 

Got to be one of the 3 imo, but really Casadei should be capable of playing this role and if he’s not…. then simply he’s not the player we thought we were signing.  I know the evidence doesn’t point to it working for him, but he could surprise us.

I'm sure that Enzo would normally rotate Coady in for Vesty, given the latter has been on international duty. But I worry how we will be able to build effectively from the back if we lose both Vesty and Winks at the same time. Coady and Hamza are far less reliable and effective on the ball.
