i guess any list such as notable people from Leicester or famous ex-players is bound to be subjective and tends to reflect the writers age more than anything else.

 

One factual error that you might like to correct - we were promoted from the old second division in 1971 not relegated to.  I remember it well as it was my first season as a fan.

Ian Walker was a decent player for us but weird pick for notable players for us, especially when the likes of Gordon Banks, Peter Shilton or Kasper Schmeichel aren’t included

Let me assure you that no matter where I go on my travels, someone ALWAYS picks up a fuss about the the notable people and the notable former players list. My argument is always it’s called ‘Some Notable People’ not ‘All the notable people’ and I can’t literally name everyone, mainly because I am likely to visit the place again so need to leave myself someone to list at a later time.

My answer for this is simple, my mate supports Leicester City and his favourite player was/is Ian Walker. The list is called some notable former players, not all the former players. Thanks for you feedback though
