Crazy, didn't come across as that time of guy from brief snippets but obviously know very little about him or what he's like, as it common with these horrible acts.

Rumours were swirling yesterday that a Snooker player had been sentenced, his profile then disappeared from the WST & WPBSA websites so numerous people presumed it was him, then the WPBSA have confirmed it in a statement this morning.

He’s had issues off the table which he mentioned in the past, but of course you never picture anything like this coming out.

Such a talent, could've been the next big thing if his head was right.

Agreed mate.

When he produced his QF run on Crucible debut and breaking into the top 16, he was looking like the real deal.

Issues off the table clearly affected his Snooker, he ended up dropping off tour at one point.

Thought he turned a corner when he qualified for the 2022 World Championship, but now here we are, good riddance.

Watching some of the first round of the Saudi masters tonight. Some of them are inexperienced and young, but jeez it makes you appreciate how good the better players are. Appalling standard.

I thought the same when I watched the Worlds Qualifiers.

Only the early rounds I know but have tickets been on sale for this tournament? I don't think I've seen a single person who isn't linked to a player in the crowd.

Lots of players on the tour will love it though. Good money, probably top hospitality and hotels/facilities and they don't have to play in front of anyone.

Ronnie will love that, nice to see Ben Woollaston get through beating Vafaei, he's got a tough match against Anda in round 5.  20 grand for getting this far.  Big names enter in round 5, must be nice to know you get 20 grand just for showing up.

Banged it on for the first time this afternoon, from a presentation point of view I can’t fault it, but you’re seeing why the World Championship shouldn’t move over there for example, soulless atmosphere with one man and his dog watching. Of course it might pick up tomorrow when the big boys enter, but it’s a bit of an embarrassing look so far.

For most, missing that red when 62 points up at 9-9 in the decider of a final for 500k would lead to weeks of sleepless nights.

But knowing Williams he’ll be absolutely hammered and posting a picture of him scoffing a kebab within the hour 😂

It was a brilliant end to a relatively poor quality final.  Williams was the better player.  I know people talk about william's carefree attitude but even if he doesnt show it, that must've hurt.

Brilliant match last night.

Ishpreet Singh Chadha with a brilliant clearance in the decider to beat Selby.  Down to the final black.

His mum was in tears in the crowd.

Can't see him winning today but a great achievement anyway.

Lost 6-0 today. Always a possibility given the effort he put in last night.

Again thoughSelby had a brilliant chance to win another ranking event after seeing most of the big boys knocked out but fair play to the lad.

I know snooker is more than the Ronnie show but it's a bit of a dick move by him to pull out of the British Open at such short notice.

Decent number of top 16 players out already

Mark Allen certainly not happy with conditions !

Mark Allen's comment earlier this week that the table he was playing on should be 'burnt' didn't make sense.

The beds of snooker tables are made of slate, a non-combustible material.
