It was smooth and calm, dont be rash, just take and let your brilliance deliver. This drive from Max is one of the all time greats just so good

That ends Llando's championship effort barring a couple of DNFs for Max.

Fair play to Max he passed plenty of cars early on and they made the right call to stay out before the red flag.

As an aside, the addition of Bernie Collins has been the best thing Sky has done for their F1 coverage in years.

Proper insight into the decision making processes for strategy, tyres/stops, and how the regulations work, from someone who's actually done the job. She's brilliant.

Amen to this, fascinating hearing her perspective and understanding what the teams are weighing up in real time. It's a good reminder that however much we focus on the drivers or to a lesser extent the team principals their's an army of people behind the scenes making it all happen.

She's got a lot more relaxed the more she's been part of their team as well, fits in well.

A 2-3 for Alpine is sensational.

It's so wild how luck can change in the extreme this season. Sainz and Haas last race, complete disaster this race. Alpine having a nightmare season, yet this one result makes up for all of it.

Genuinely one of the greatest drives of all time from Max.

Stop being salty, British media, ffs. He deserves the title for that race alone.

Norris had an open goal considering the start positions, should have been black-flagged for powering away during an aborted start, and still managed to turn what should have been a big points swing his way into effectively resigning the title. Sorry to say it, he doesn't have any Championship quality or pedigree at all. McLaren should be all in on Piastri next year. What a wasted opportunity!

What a race that was, very entertaining.

I thought the result was a little overhyped although the championship implications make it more impactful.

The cars that chose to stay out finished on the podium.

Was surprised so many pitted when you almost always get a red flag these days when there's heavy rain.

Max gambled on the red flag and it paid off, fair play. Gutted it all but ends Norris’ charge, just hope McLaren keep on their trajectory to make it another brilliant season next year.

As for Hamilton, it’s quite clear there’s some elements of sabotage going on there. I would say we’ll see proof of it when he’s got a red suit on next year but I wouldn’t trust Ferrari to defo give him a car to keep up with Red Bull and McLaren either.

There wouldn't have been a red flag if Colapinto hadn't crashed. That's why most of them pitted, which was the right call at the time. They could have waited a few more laps to see the rain ease off a bit more, but they knew that the undercut on fresh Inters compared to heavily worn Inters was even greater whilst the rain was heaviest.

If there hadn't been a crash, Verstappen would have been very quickly caught and passed by those on fresh tyres behind him. He got lucky with the win. But it was a very good drive by him nonetheless.

Think Bernie also wrote a book about her experiences as well?   Might be worth a read.

Another young gun in F1.

Good to these guys getting a go .

I didn’t realise how much some people hate the British media just because they dared criticise Verstappen a bit after the Mexico race .

Colapinto to RB already agreed behind the scenes?
