Sad to hear Lewis sounding so down.

A very chaotic penalties and the FIA will probably be in for more criticisms now.

Great race for Alpine and Sauber finally get their first points!

Well done Zhou.

Ocon leaving Alpine early according to reports but nothing official yet.

Only just caught up. Wtf was that? Ineptitude of the FIA just becomes more and more obvious by the week. What were they hoping for, a strong gust to clear the track for them?

I hate how they all grass on each other. Norris going “Lewis Hamilton speeding” is really weird behaviour. Imagine James Hunt doing that back in the day.

I guess they will all say hate the game not the player. No gentlemanly conduct to be seen either way.

It wreaked of them trying to keep the constructors championship close going into the final weekend.

From what I've read, Leclerc didn't lift for the double yellows either, and I'd bet plenty of others didn't, but it was only the McLaren that got a penalty. For what it's worth I think he 100% deserved a penalty, it's a safety issue and yellow flag procedures have to be followed. But earlier in the season didn't Max only get a reprimand for not lifting in yellows? Whereas Norris effectively got a 35 second penalty. Somewhere in between a reprimand and a 10 second stop-go would seem fairer, either a 5 or 10 second time penalty?

In the alternate universe where Sainz didn't get a puncture from the debris, I doubt Norris's penalty would have been so severe as to drop him to the back of the order... But as Ferrari were badly affected by the ridiculous decision not to throw a safety car to clear the track, they felt they had to handicap McLaren to keep the title race close.

Reading that back does make me feel like I should be wearing a tin foil hat, but with the state the FIA is in at the moment it wouldn't surprise me.

Quite surprised the extent to which Russell defended himself given his position in the grand prix drivers association.

Interesting his comments about 21 too because at the time I think a lot of the younger drivers weren't bothered and were friends of Max having known him for a long time. Both Norris and Russell seem to have changed their tune a fair bit this year - maybe because they are less threatened by Lewis nowadays but also because they have had more first hand experience competing against Verstappen and know how frustrating that can be. It is good drama though, and like all good villains they are the lead characters in their own stories.

Gloves are well and truly off !

Verstappen started it all by telling on George about a private situation/ conversation and Russell is just answering back .

What goes around comes around.

He's only managed 4, albeit one handed to him by Massi, in a row and now he's under pressure most races.  This is the outcome.

Makes for good TV.  Horner will crawl back into his hole as well before too long.
