Banners look good. Seats are fine. But please God can someone repaint the row lettering in the north stand so people can actually find their seats? Currently I spend the first ten minutes of every game saying variations of  'This is N! You are in S. It's over there. N. No NN is at the back. N!'

I sat in the west stand last night (good view but as ever, quiet as the grave) and at least you could find your seat, so not sure if it's just where I am.

Some essential works going on this summer, taken from a recent article on the website…

“We’re carrying out essential maintenance at King Power Stadium during the off-season, which means some areas on our usual tour route may be undergoing upgrades. We’ll still make sure you enjoy a great experience - but thanks for your understanding if a few parts of the stadium aren’t looking their best on your chosen date. Prefer to see the stadium in its fully refreshed state? We’ll be adding more tour dates from August onwards.”

They’ve added this outside the away end, no idea why they have gone for last seasons title to be positioned there, when there is nothing about the premier league one yet. Odd.

You might be getting mistaken with the WSL Championship Trophy

Sounds like forest are having issues with their development too:-

Nottingham Forest’s City Ground redevelopment plans are back before a council planning committee three years after they were first approved.

The proposals to redevelop the existing Peter Taylor stand and build a new apartment block were granted permission by Rushcliffe Borough Council in 2022.

The new plans are largely the same – meaning they are likely to be returning to the council because the original planning consent is due to expire next month, with no work having been started by the club after it hit a number of hurdles along the way.

Problems have included the need to replace the Nottingham Rowing Club’s Britannia Boathouse facilities, on the south bank of the River Trent and close to the ground.

To go ahead with the development, the club will need to demolish the boathouse.

Negotiations between Nottingham Forest and former City Ground landowner Nottingham City Council also hit delays.

The new planning documents reveal a legal agreement will now be signed with the rowing club for the replacement of its facilities, while the land sale was finalised with the City Council earlier this year.

The club has now put the plans back on the table for fresh approval at a Rushcliffe Borough Council meeting on Thursday, June 26.

This Filbert Way sign, situated along the main walkway to the stadium, has been cleaned ahead of the new season. Good to see. (The image had to be cropped so couldn’t get the background in).
