Will city still be able to sign Abdul Fatawu? 
 Understand because of our transfer embargo & how ****ed we are at the moment the answer right now is NO.

If this doesn’t get sorted out is it worth us getting promoted?

The transfer embargo is only valid if we don't get promoted. If we don't get promoted then we aren't obligated to sign him, neither could we afford to if we wanted to.

If we get promoted we won’t be placed under a transfer embargo.

That’s not certain Bert 

some have said that the efl embargo would remain unless they cancel it and would apply in the PL until it got sorted between us the P,L amd EFL 

 

in practice we would probably be allowed to spend within agreed limits to avoid the credibility of the PL being brought into question 

 

In any case, abdul would be allowed to sign due to legal obligations

My interpretation is that we can’t register new players.  But he’s already registered as a player, on loan, with a legal obligation to buy if he plays a certain number of games.

No agreement in football is legally binding.

I thought it was in the loan deal that we bought him for 10 million if he played x number of games?  Maybe not illegal, but certainly breach of contract if we don’t.

How does that affect players already at the club? Tom Cannon for instance wasn't registered because he's under 21 but next season won't be.

I don't think it would cause a problem with registering Cannon

 

But I think it would just basically stop us from spending big fees on players and giving them high wages and renewing players onto high wages
