Or does it not preclude players with existing contracts at the club having then renewed? 6 minutes ago, suffolk fox said: agreed, Vestergaard has not signed yet, we are still under an embargo until June 9th. Maybe wrong use of the word “signed” when it should have said “agreed” but apparently it’s done.

I'm just curious to know what the source is for the claim that we have already signed him - I've read it a few times but I don't know whether it's definitely true or just a rumour.

Agreed I haven't seen anything concrete either.
Wymsey Posted 29 May 2024 Posted 29 May 2024 Apparently had a rift with a player at the training ground before a player's meeting was arranged.

Curious now if Vesty was actually done before Enzo left, just announced later.

Puel, Rodgers and Enzo all say hold my beer to this tosh. Surely by now it’s obvious that this style is a club legislated thing, the latest exponent being Enzo. Edited 25 June 2024 by Dahnsouff 2

We won the prem without the ball and it was exciting. This is boring paint dry football. Just look at England tonight awful boring shite. 4

I read that he was listed as contracted in the released players list, rather than subject to contract offer. So I'm guessing is was basically all done and dusted and just not announced.

To use the way England play and compare it to Pep/Enzo/some other manager in a similar style is just so wrong. It’s comparing Apples to Oranges. There is nothing similar in Southgate’s turgid football that relies on individuals producing moments to that of “Pep-ball”. Pep is all about patterns of play and re-cycling the ball to re-create those patterns of play to point of madness. Enzo was the same. It’s death by passing which yes can be quite boring at times, but there’s method in the madness. England are different, Southgate is a terrible coach, square pegs in round holes, players not knowing what their role is on the pitch. Him and his staff are clueless. Southgate has been successful historically to a point but that was based on Set Pieces, Team Spirit and Kane in his pomp. He’s not been able to get a tune out of some of the best creative talent we’ve seen in generations I’m not some Pep disciple by any means, my personal preference is certainly a more aggressive, fast style of football. But it just annoys me when Southgate’s terrorist ball is even used in the same breath of a manager that is a genius and has re-defined how football is played. Southgate’s legacy is a waistcoat and a Pizza Advert 2

So once sussed out it didn't work anywhere near as well. Southgate is suffercating our squad playing the same sort of style. That and it's boring as fvck. 1

Slovenia. Leicester didn't have the luxury? Sure we did! If you recall, not only did we play Enzo ball, we won the championship with it last season 1

We played ‘it’ last season with a considerably worse squad and did rather better than alright. Just start with its boring, it’s a fair conclusion and your opinion. Edited 26 June 2024 by Dahnsouff

No I'm saying it doesn't suit them all. Kane for one looks lost with it. Yes we did OK with it playing in a way lower standard with as many have said a way stronger squad. But once we was sussed out we struggled. The fact that Southgate seems as stubborn as Enzo says our days seem numbered to me.
Phenom Posted 27 June 2024 Posted 27 June 2024 Imagine thinking that a dolt like Southgate can coach “Pepball”
