Foxes96 Posted 18 June 2024 Posted 18 June 2024 I can see the appeal for Potter… - We’ve an owner who wants a possession based style above all else. - Will support a manager way past their sell by date (Brendan). - Probably still offering decent wages. - Job could be seen as a “free hit” due to impending points deductions. - A lot of the foundations are already there for possession based football after last season, and players to suit that style: Mads, Jannick, Winks etc. - And Midlands based for the Solihull lad. What’s Potters record for bringing through youth?? Hopefully he gets the backing financially and from the fans. Gonna need everything for a tough season ahead. 1

rugbyblue Posted 18 June 2024 Posted 18 June 2024 Couldn't give a fvck now. Millions per year partially funded by £72 match ticket prices!

fox_favourite Posted 18 June 2024 Posted 18 June 2024 That'll explain the stupid price rise for tickets...pays for manager's wages

Angus Scott Posted 18 June 2024 Posted 18 June 2024 If we appoint Potter we'll be looking for another manager in 12 months time, as I can't see him managing in the Championship 2 1

He built the foundations at Brighton for them to play in Europe for the first time and would be a solid appointment. Think this is my biggest plus about Potter - If you took any two points 12 months apart of a Potter tenure at any of his clubs you would struggle to find one where the latter wasn't stronger. He does seem to progress - albeit pretty slowly.

Really - thought they created lots of chances and played decent stuff - just had sh1t strikers who couldn't put the ball in the net (apart from when they played us).
