SilverFox Posted 14 December 2005 Posted 14 December 2005 Would you? http://www.fansfc.com/frontpage/frontpagen...p?newsid=147687 Pervert!
Jonbluefox9 Posted 14 December 2005 Posted 14 December 2005 Would you? http://www.fansfc.com/frontpage/frontpagen...p?newsid=147687 Only if we wouldn't have to keep him on loan if he picked up another injury whilst he was with us. At least he would put more effort in than Sylla, I'm certain of that.
Strokes Posted 14 December 2005 Posted 14 December 2005 Would you? http://www.fansfc.com/frontpage/frontpagen...p?newsid=147687 Definatly, if he could recapture that form that prompted Peter Reid to pay £3.5 Million pounds for him then he would prove quality competition down the right flank
Chimp Posted 14 December 2005 Posted 14 December 2005 Smith down the left, Piper down the right? Yes please, I'll have some of that.
Ric Flair Posted 14 December 2005 Posted 14 December 2005 Depends whether we could send Lee Morris the other way as collaterall.
werestandingup_weresittingdown Posted 14 December 2005 Posted 14 December 2005 id take him back like a shot - and hope he could stay fit. From the same site it talks about a couple of sides Hull and someone else possibly going for Sean Gregan. Id get him on board if we could, always quite liked him - can control the middle of the field, bit of a leader. what are other peoples views of gregan???

I remember some Leeds fans attacking him and his wife after a match last season because they thought he'd been playing so badly...

Not a big fan of gregan (although haven't seen many games) seemed to shy away from the big tackle too often
Thracian Posted 14 December 2005 Posted 14 December 2005 Depends on the financial viabilty. It's a nice idea but whether he would stay fit and therefore be value for money is highly questionable.

Id get him on board if we could, always quite liked him - can control the middle of the field, bit of a leader. what are other peoples views of gregan??? Saw the same thing and thought exactly the same. I think he would be a great addition to the squad and a true leader in the heart of midfield. Whilst I like Kisnorbo and think he is doing a decent job for us, I would rather have a tenacious and steely midfield player like Gregan to protect the backfour and drive the team on. He may be 31 but could do a good job for a team like us.
Cobbo Posted 14 December 2005 Posted 14 December 2005 Sean Gregan whom got slated like noone else by Leeds fans and now can't get in their team who we out played the other week? Or a different one who is not so fat?
Foxes_Wizard_Striker Posted 14 December 2005 Posted 14 December 2005 It depends on if Piper is good as he is before when he was a fox.Maybe that he is playing for his homeland club would spurn him on and he put extra effort in unlike Syalla!
davieG Posted 14 December 2005 Posted 14 December 2005 No, who wants an unfit player - we have enough problems of getting 100% fom players without adding to the burden. Bear in mind also that we would be tuning him up to play against us next season I can't see the logic in that. Used your heads not your hearts.
Tommeh Posted 14 December 2005 Posted 14 December 2005 I remember some Leeds fans attacking him and his wife after a match last season because they thought he'd been playing so badly... typical Leeds fans then!
TornadoShaunUK Posted 14 December 2005 Posted 14 December 2005 Piper - I dont think I would myself.. perhaps has had some bad luck with injuries but he seems too injury prone and thats a risk I wouldn't take. We've had enough of that shit over the years =/
Scow Posted 14 December 2005 Posted 14 December 2005 If he plays a few reserve games, proves his fitness, then why not? Anything must be better than Sylla at the moment. We know he has the ability, so it depends on his fitness.
Bert Posted 14 December 2005 Posted 14 December 2005 If his fitness is proved it would be good. But Levein doesn't like loan moves unless they are a view to a permo move or it's Ryan Smith I cant see this happening.
Gené and Tonic Posted 15 December 2005 Posted 15 December 2005 yes, but only on loan at first. If he doesn't get a long term injury in the time he's here, I wouldn't object a permanent move.
Dr The Singh Posted 15 December 2005 Posted 15 December 2005 yes, but only on loan at first. If he doesn't get a long term injury in the time he's here, I wouldn't object a permanent move. Levien doesn't like loan signings, I suppose with the success of smith he may think different. The issue I have is that he is still recovering from injury and gaining fitness and requires time, the chances of Piper being a success depends on how much time it takes for Piper to get fully match fit and regain his confidence. At this moment I would like to see a winger that will be instantly involved!!!
Tommy Posted 15 December 2005 Posted 15 December 2005 If we could gurantte his fitness then yes I would. However I don't feel he would hold up enough to be an integrak part of the tem/season

Ryan Smith was suspended for three games at the start of his loan spell and his impact has been tremendous, i think piper could make that sort of impact if we get him. His has to be more committed than sylla even if he is on loan.
Sly Posted 15 December 2005 Posted 15 December 2005 .......and lets bring back Jordon Stewart to plat LB. Jordon Stewart had one good season, Piper was the same. In all honesty, we've really no idea how could he is now.

In all honesty, we've really no idea how could he is now. Piper only ever played 13 games or so for us. Whereas Stewart made his appearances over 4-5 seasons... Unfair comparison don't you think?
