Spurs give Mikey Moore a shot at 17 and we won’t give ours a try unless they’re 22 with a few years of loans under their belts.

Respect the bravery of them to give him a go. Don’t think he’s any better than Alves but would take a injury crisis before he gets a real chance here.

Mikey Moore was apparently ripping it up for their youth sides and banging on the door, none of ours really are. I want to see Alves star for us but as yet he hasn't demanded the place, I want him to start in the cup and prove he should be playing, I want to see one of the young strikers go off the bench too

Jake Evans is doing similar to Moore and is a year younger so let's hope we can harness that progression.

To be fair they got battered by bottom of the league Palace.

hmm Alves got to a place where he was too good for under 23 football. He got injured for literally being too damn good in a game. He rarely plays for the team because he’s deemed first team, so i’m not sure how he can use the under 23s to show he’s ready if he’s not even getting regular

minutes for that side now.

I think with a team

like spurs, you’re either in the first team and in contention or your in the youth team… for some reason we’ve got a limbo area where Alves has fallen and now he lacks match sharpness. It’s a gross mismanagement of him and we are damn lucky he signed his new deal before all of this negligence with his career

He got to a place he was too good for under 18s, he was doing well at 21s level, then got injured in FA Youth Cup game (under 18s). Don't think he was too good for 21s at the time but he was ready for a loan to a lower league club.

His injury has really set him back. I think he's still got a good chance of making it with us but might be KDH style where he breaks through at 22/23 years old.

Is Jake Evans a striker? If so, surely worth a go on the bench? We are so weak up top and need something different, when Vardy needs to come off or be rested, we have no realistic options to jump in, other than playing a false 9 or someone out of position

He's a left footed winger / attacking midfielder

Cooper would rather stink the team out with Bobby and a couple of Palace rejects, in Edouard and Ayew, then play any of our kids.

Do we have any promising young strikers? Jamie Vardy is 38, Edouard looks completely uninterested and Daka, is well Daka.
Surely, it’s this position that someone is most likely to be given an opportunity this season?

The problem for the likes of Alves is that he has buonanotte and El Khannous ahead of him for that attacking, but if flare role.

Josh King

Lower down the age groups Lorenz Hutchinson is very well regarded, although his insane U16 record hasn't yet carried on in to U18s.

I was reading the thread about the things you missed from football as it used to be. I miss the family night football that use to happen at Filbert Street. Think they should bring something similar to that back at the KP. I know you can buy tickets to watch at Seagrave but it's not exactly close for most fans. It's the best way to get younger fans involved with the club especially with how hard it is to get tickets. They should host under 23s games at the KP and charge about a fiver for adults and a quid for kids. Easiest way for the next generation of fans to get involved in my opinion. What are people's thoughts?

Probably the biggest reason is financially It's different nowadays,  it would cost more to hold a match like that at the KP than they could make on the gate.

Great in theory and fans think it's as simple as suggested about but there loads more to think about.

That's why fans don't run clubs.

Insurance

Security

Wages

heating and lighting

Huge cost on wear and that on pitch they are so expensive to maintain.

For the revenue they would get back, charging a couple of quid would cost them money.

That's why most clubs hold the games at training grounds.l I expect.
