Still catching up on iPlayer but really could do without artists giving us their political views and telling us how to live our lives.

Note to IDLES: the anti-monachy thing was done in 1977 before you were born

I think IDLES are rubbish, maybe I just don't get it, I've got mates that love them but it proper passes me by.

I said this earlier in the thread. Completely agree, don't get it one bit

I usually rely on Glastonbury to enlighten me to new music, a new band that I can get excited about. It's failed miserably this year, for me anyway. Not actually enjoyed anything. Watched Last Dinner Party as I thought I liked them. I don't, but at least I now know.

Alvvays.

The best! Saw them at the o2 in Leicester a few years back and dot to dot last year. Hella fun. Would recommend a band called Men I Trust who are similar

I don't get Idles. It's rock music for people who don't like or understand rock music

Rock music for the middle classes holidaying I’m working classness.

Not seen anyone that blew me away. Dexys are one of my all time favourite bands but just too old now. Kasabian are rubbish. Coldplay boring. Baxter Dury was ok but self indulgent. I just don’t like Idles because they’re middle class boys (my own chip I understand). Streets were decent but didn’t knock me over. Lots of OK stuff but music is sooooooo bland these days. I’m old. Modern music isn’t “for me” I get that but I wish is scared me a bit. If I was watching all these modern bands thinking “Christ these are ****ing awful I hate them they scare me” I’d love it. But they’re just all nice and ok.

I'm not keen on those headliners, but there's some other nice stuff to watch.

Its a typical Glasto line up for me.  I'll watch bits of the acts I like when its on and there's enough there to make a good three days for me.

But I'll never go to it just because I'd miss so much of it based on the sheer size of it. I know there's more to the festival than the music, but I really like watching live music haha!

It's a bad world when such a horrible person as Matt Healy gets such coverage.

1975 are dreadful

Good to see Wolf Alice on there, hints that new music may be coming. 👀

Also redemption for Japanese Breakfast!

I thought that must be a mistake when I saw that. Wasn't sure if they were still in business. No shows for over three years. This would be the only reason why I'd want to go to Glastonbury. Just hope they show the full set on TV.

....and Wet Leg. Thought they'd given up as well.

Yeh they've been quiet but they signed to a new record label a while ago so must have plans. :fc:

There's a small number of acts on there that I would bother to watch on television let alone spend hundreds to go and watch.

It's a properly dull line up.

Mixed as always, Huge Neil young fan but depends what mood he's in LOL, like most have said the interesting artists aren't usually the headliners.

Agree with that. I tried but no, given up.

Idles won't be missed, for me anyway. Nor the shite Last Dinner Parteh.

They're pretty cringe but I really like them (but agree Matt Healy is a nob)

Idles had the crowd absolutely rocking so I'm not sure about that

Loads of bands had 'their' crowd's rocking. I don't listen to Idles but I enjoyed the first couple of times seeing there raw energy and passion. Almost mesmerising. However, I found them unnecessarily borish at last years Glastonbury. It put me off. Seen enough.

Personal opinion so fair enough.

Their crowd was one of the best last year along with Kasabian.

There were loads of poor crowds for a lot of bands
