Did really well today. Accidental assist and a goal in just 20 minutes. Good day at the office!

Accidental assist is a bit harsh, I know it took a deflection but you could clearly see he was looking for Vardy with the pass so you could argue he deserved the little bit of luck. To me, an accidental assist would be if you didn't mean to pass to the person who scored, but I think he did, albeit though the help of a deflection.

It's nice to see him playing more centrally - no coincidence his upturn in form has come with a change of role. He seems to lack a bit of the pace or trickiness you really need on the wing, but his link up and vision is actually very good, as yesterday demonstrated.

It looked like he tried to shoot?

Could be useful from the bench. Has put himself in the right position to knock it in twice in two games, the West Ham one looked daft but he was the only player who followed the shot in so did well to make it look a gimme (even if ruled out after for an earlier offside). Should still only be a bit part player for us, but will be needed between now and January in particular.

On MotD 2 last night they were saying that we look more like an established PL team than a newly-promoted side (in contrast to Ipswich and Southampton). It made me wonder whether our much-criticized summer transfer policy of targeting players with PL experience might have something to do with it.

Not been convinced with his previous performances under Cooper; but last 2 games he's been in the right place at the right time for an offside goal and now a goal. The speed we sometimes break at, that's a brilliant trait to have

Bobby and Ayew get a lot of stick and, whilst I agree neither were sexy signings, I think it’s mostly unwarranted. It’s more down to the performances of the team in my opinion. If both are starting regularly it’s quite a depressing sign but if the team is performing better and they are used as impact subs then both seem solid, sensible signings to me and I think they’re useful additions. And, to give them credit, both have chipped in with important goals.

Top managers always speak of the whole squad contributing to a good season, and these two have proven that. They don’t set it alight when they start, but both have now made telling contributions, work hard and will be good pro’s in the dressing room. These players are what we’ve missed in previous seasons

Not so sure we can praise the strategy as none of those PL experience players have looked like they'll to be nailed on starters for us, but we've got Vardy, Vestergaard, Justin and Ndidi all having years of experience at this level before and then Hermansen, Soumare, El Khannouss, VK, Buonanotte all being too good for anything other than top flight football.

Then you add squad players like Coady, Skipp, Ayew and Reid in as a supplement.

But this is exactly what I'm talking about - our squad is full of players with PL experience, not just the first team. So we can bring on the likes of Ayew to score late equalisers/winners, Skipp to give us more heft in midfield (and chip in with a very useful pre-assist for Vardy's goal yesterday), Reid to get us an equaliser, etc. Four out of our five subs yesterday had a lot of PL experience, and two of those four were summer acquisitions who directly contributed to our two goals. I'm sure Ipswich would give anything for some experienced players to help them get over the line in games rather than consistently drop points in the final few minutes...

Have we ever had a player so good at scuffing their shots? From memory, there were two scuffs at Southampton and the excellent scuff to Vardy at the back post against Brighton. He’ll go down as an all-time great in his field.

It’s funny Fulham fans loved him, but we as Leicester fans slated him without giving him a chance

It’s snobbery, that’s what it comes down to.

It seems a very Pearson type signing, when we would sign the likes of Phillips, GTF and later the likes of Albrighton, Cambiasso and Fuchs, taking advantage of the free transfer market.

Of course, there are obvious quality differences between that list but all older heads (although Sharkey was actually on the younger side when he joined) but with plenty of experience and importantly, good attitudes and hard workers.

He’ll be a good head to have around the squad and has already shown he can add value with a goal, an assist and a disallowed goal in the last two games.

Would genuinely agree however Ayew was absolutely shockingly bad this week.

An attempted 'pass' that found its target perfectly, but only after a 60 degree deflection and around half its pace being taken off it?

I'm not too sure that Cooper knew how to utilize the two of them properly. RVN seems to have a much better understanding of how & when to use a player. I love that he is not scared to use the bench early & often.

Steve Claridge?

He’s up there. Claridge is a goal-scoring scuffer, whereas BDR prefers to scuff it for an assist. Two very different types – you can’t compare them. Both masters of the art though!

Mavadidi would scuff them all the time when he joined. Scored a nice scuffed free kick last season.

Bit early to proclaim he's been a success. Looked miles off until he's had a few cameos under RVN - I hope he turns out to be a blinding signing but we can't get carried away although I was always happier with BDCR than Ayew.
