We’ve demonstrated in periods this is not a bad team, there’s enough to stay up comfortably in my opinion. The problem and CLEAR problem is the complete lack of coaching this team is getting….. there’s nothing at all, the team are as flat as a pancake, the only players busting a gut are those whose personality is to bust a gut….. other then that, the team is lifeless, leaderless and clueless. A better coach would get this lot more motivated, not make basic errors leading to goals, and set the team up to be a threat at least. Whether we are playing out from the back in a relentless low block or playing a hard pressing high line any premier league defence containing a combination of faes, justin, kristiansen and vestergaard is gonna concede more goals than it scores. 1
Happy Fox Posted 23 November 2024 Posted 23 November 2024 Ruud Van Nisterooy is class far better than Cooper shite. 1
ronnup Posted 23 November 2024 Posted 23 November 2024 Its inevitable isnt it. We need to give someone else the January window
markko Posted 23 November 2024 Posted 23 November 2024 I have stuck up for Cooper. Today I could not bring myself to go. Mixture of things one being I thought we would get hammered. As bad as we were, we lost by a goal. We are in a very tough run of games. That is the prem. We are not great. Today no Fatawu or Bounatte. The defence is weak and is not going to improve until we add to it in January. I do think we are better when we have a go but they would have picked us off. RVN is untested. Moyes might come. Potter no chance. It is not all Coopers fault. Look at United. They have had some really good managers as have Everton but there.are structural issues that need sorting otherwise we will be a little better or a little worse. Message to self KTF!!! 1 1

Which is annoying as I’ve bought Newcastle away tickets. I’d genuinely rather watch the games on the firestick or not bother at all atm, wasting the whole day to be served that muck up for £25/£30 everytime is shocking. 1

Can he carry that over into Management which brings a totally different pressure. Many great players have tried and failed. He certainly has worked for and with some of the Best managers inclding Fergie. The question is do we get in a proven mamger or take a chance on Ruud. He's probably worth the risk.
winteriscoming Posted 23 November 2024 Posted 23 November 2024 Is there a worse manager in this league? I’m struggling apart from me ego at Southampton I’d have any of the other managers in this league than Cooper. 3

Give any group of players the right manager mixed with some belief and they can obtain 20+ points. We’ve got a fairly crap group so with a decent manager I think we can easily get 30+ points. You literally need 6 or 7 good games out of 38. 1
Levi Port Posted 23 November 2024 Posted 23 November 2024 I’d rather Russell Martin and I think he’s sh** and a Kn** head

He just doesn’t have the players and ability to pull it off. Cooper is just hopeless.

Lad1966 Posted 23 November 2024 Posted 23 November 2024 I want to see, “Cooper sacked” headline on my notifications. Top, come on do the right thing, just incase you don’t know what that is - Sack Cooper Now!!!! 1

Regardless of manager this team/squad finishes bottom 5 and it wouldn't be comfortable. The team has been flat as a pancake for most of the last 4 years and there's been no real leaders on the pitch for even longer than that. The midfield has no real steel and battle hardened prem midfields will largely overpower it. The defenders are not prem standard and no amount of coaching is gonna stop justin or faes making stupid errors. 3

Well I would swap squads (and yes managers because he is plainly not up to it) with every side in this league except Southampton, so unless we sign at least 3 top replacements in the new year even Pep wouldn’t keep this squad up.

Maybe so, but having an actual plan and being organised will help. We are neither so we're looking worse on top.of not being good players

The only improvement over when we went down last time is the goalkeeper which is negated by being significantly weaker in midfield and upfront.

Skidmark Posted 23 November 2024 Posted 23 November 2024 It's got to be Moyes or finally Potter hasn't it?

Our best midfielder has been Facundo anyway who's not that experienced so, yeah, quite a lot of nonsense in your posts on this I'd say. Nobody is claiming this is a great side. But it's absolutely smack you in the face obvious that systemically and from a coaching perspective we are going nowhere under Cooper. A decent manager keeps this squad up, relatively comfortably. He also drops Faes. 1
