No argument, it was a goal. Astonished it was sent to VAR. That gets disallowed, the game is gone.

The nudge doesn't have any impact because it happened after the corner kick was taken and before Stones heads the ball which is where the offside issue then comes into play. Sky are horrendous for drumming up controversy and preying on fans who don't have the knowledge or care to know the laws of the game.

Why are they saying he’s in an offside position? He wasn’t offside from the corner. The contact with him and the keeper was before he was offside from Stones’ header.

Yeah they just thrive on these made up sub plots. It was as straightforward of a decision as they come

Yeah, the pundits and commentary are focusing on the wrong thing. He's only in an offside position when Stones heads it, at which time he's not interfering with Sa (ooh-er missus!).  What he does before that point is irrelevant because he's on.

silva is onside when he’s competing with the keeper 

 

once it’s headed, he’s offside but he’s not in his line of vision and not close to any contact

Didn't look like interfering at first glance but he does shove the keeper which impacts his starting position. By the letter of the law it should be ruled out.

They sent him to the monitor because the on field decision was offside, late flag from the linesman. Hence the loud cheer around the ground  Sky again dropping the ball and not explaining what had happened.

The nudge (isn't it Sa nudging Silva?) happens before the header though, so it's irrelevant to any offside call.
