How come Liverpool play Villa tonight ?

Re arranged from the League cup final weekend .

Howard Webb has said that red card at Wolves  for Lewis Skelly was wrong so guess Arsenal will feel justified in their complaints now despite being fined.

Dunno, depends how far back they can go?

Didn't think it mattered? Seen some that happen just the moment before the goal and it's still given because it wasn't the scorer that handballed it.

Well quite .

Guess with VAR you never really know .

Accidental handball only becomes relevant if the scorer handballs it (obviously in the phase where they score the goal, not 10 minutes earlier :D )

Villa are going to end up getting overrun here. Liverpool’s legs are much better. A Liverpool win probably ends forests title hopes because if Forest get maximum points, Liverpool would only need 24 more points from 12 games to overtake them

Salah is having the best PL season ever. Henry 03/04 and Suarez 13/14 be are the only contenders.

24 goals and 15 assists in 26 games is just absurd.

Tielemans MOTM again.

An incredible footballer and I love him for the Wembley goal but I’ll never get over how far out of his way he went to be a lazy bastard in 22/23.

Just flicked over to the city game. Getting pumped but still just aimless side to side passing.

The 'pep' method will die soon. People have sussed it out.

We'll probably be playing it in league 1 with a 42 year old Vardy smashing red bulls before Scunthorpe away.

That’s harsh and pure speculation. He was carrying some weight and plainly not as fit as he had been/is now, but I lay that as much at Rodgers’s door (overplaying him) as Youri’s.

One of our best ever midfielders, who had a really poor 22/23 (he shouldn’t have been here, should he?).

Rodgers had a part to play in a lot that year but you have to admit he looked like he didn’t want to be there for 90% of the season which is purely down to attitude.

One of my favourite players to play for us no doubt and who knows where we’d be now if we’d cashed in for £50m that summer.

A lot of Villa fans worried he’s gonna blow up soon due to the number of games he’s had to play

Allegedly, we didn’t get a single offer for Youri in either summer 21 or 22. Allegedly. I suspect the usual suspect of botching this! Our only chance of getting £50m for Youri was hot on the FA Cup win, when instead we spaffed a fortune on Vestegaard, Bertrand, Soumare & Daka…

I’ve resisted the temptation to read too much into his facial expressions that season. I do recall the horror of a video clip that season showing Youri’s being sprinted past by a referee!

I think Tielemans is a confidence player brilliant in a good team but a liability when things aren’t going the team’s way.

He can lift a good team to the next level. I doubt we’d have won the FA Cup without him or been in Europe so much.

But blimey he’s bad when the team’s in a bad way. Let’s not forget we also signed him from a Monaco side he was nearly relegated playing for and whose fans were desperate to get rid.
