Have you? You've stated two sides were good in our season and two are good this season with them. You've been told about points totals so far etc and just ignored it. Shouting it's factual all the time doesn't make it true

Tottenham were the best they'd been in decades in our season. Arsenal and Manchester City maintained their position. Even Manchester United had the embers of being a decent side. Of the recent title winners and contenders for 2016, only Chelsea seriously dropped off.

This season, Manchester City, Spurs, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Newcastle have all dropped off in the league.

And, for the fifth time, we won the league. By ten points. Forest are third and miles off Liverpool.

Man City finished with 13 points less than the season before, Tottenham picked up a whopping extra 6 points, Liverpool picked up less points, as did United and Arsenal.

Miles off a Liverpool team that would have comfortably finished above us in 15/16 is hardly a negative is it.

Also Newcastle haven't fallen away have they? They're doing better than last season.

I'm also not arguing what the better achievement is between us or them finishing 3rd potentially, or even that we were lucky but neither are they.

Yeah, I don’t buy this ‘Forest have been lucky’ stance.

Unfortunately they’ve been bloody good. Enjoyable to watch too if you can try to take off the blue tinted specs.

Apart from a few pundits talking them up like a fallen Real Madrid who think the City Ground has been a packed cauldron of noise for 25 years, they're getting the same level of patronisation we had with the "organised" and "hard to beat" tags that we earned under ONeill. Whilst both things are true, Arsenal would love to have Elanga and Hudson Odoi and Wood in their front line. Such a shame we didn't get NES here.

I don’t think you can say that they’ve been lucky but similar to our title winning season (to a much lesser extent obviously 😎) other clubs haven’t done themselves justice by not just sitting and let them have the ball.

Their style of football (counter attacking) isn’t sustainable long term and if they make Europe next season, could genuinely see them struggle if they have injuries to their key players.

Leicester 2016 and Forest 2025 are absolutely miles apart.

The most significant thing is that Leicester 2016 and Forest 2025 are absolutely *years* apart.

The longstanding jibe at Forest was that they were living in the past. They might have had a glorious history but how was it relevant *now*?

You're doing the same thing now.

Leicester might have had a glorious 2016, but they are loving it *now*. I really don't think Forest fans give a shit that are only third. After 20 years of rubbish, they are loving it

I'm sure they are, but they have to grasp the reality that it will be brief. Their next season will most likely be like our 2016-2017 campaign.

In all of this, the thing that winds me up most is how a majority of fans are ridiculously defensive of their owners. Admittedly, some have more reason to be so than others.

But Newcastle, Forest and a few others need to recognise who their clubs are owned by. Even KP have questionable ties and practices in Thailand.

I know some of you are arguing how lucky or not Forest are this season or whatever, it's pointless really, who cares. The question is if PL will do anything about their ownership or they'll continue to protect corrupt owners like they did for years with the Russian oligarchs and the Saudi butchers. Here's an update from today:

https://en.protothema.gr/2025/03/23/lyggeridis-family-more-than-mere-indications-exist-that-a-powerful-figure-and-a-mayor-financed-a-gang-of-thugs-leading-to-our-childs-murder/

I'll keep on posting updates about this as it seems PL and the government here don't have a clue about the case.

Spot on mate. Fans don't care, they just want their team to do well. Right now there are several PL teams run by criminals. This is a fact. The whole sport, gov bodies and regulators are promoting the corruption. It's disgusting.

Yeah, mid-table Prem and a Euro adventure. How disappointing for them after 25 years of nothing.

And still…0 trophies in how long?

They could win the cup this year, but I suspect the usual suspects will kick in. Nonetheless, they'll do very little next season and will likely have the same problems as us when we were at our peak, but with the added pressure of PSR. If they routinely breach that with reckless spending, you just know the PL will come down hard to prevent more Forests in the same way they didn't want too many Leicesters.

The best way to get over the depressing nature of what Forest is doing is remembering that people from Nottingham are just normal people like ourselves, and that life is generally very miserable and that football team success is genuinely nice for community cohesion. Just forget the identity and be content that some people are actually experiencing football joy for the first time in their miserable Nottinghamshire lives.

I'm going soft in my old age but fair enough to them - They've been absolutely shite for over 30 years so by the law of averages they had to come good at some point.

It is annoying of course but more so that we should have been looking for a proper manager like Nuno ourselves rather than ****ing about with Enzo (who was always going to **** off), Cooper and one man walking disaster that is RVFN.

On this note, Chris Wood limped out of the New Zealand qualifier this morning and looked an injury which could do him for a month or so

At a time when Forest have become less reliant on him over the past month.

Yeh he did 😂

Didn’t Sven leave without demanding his payout too?

Yes, a county fan told me that if he had asked for it, it would have sent them under.

Burnley are defensively so good, they might have a half decent chance

Its a different level, Parker has never managed it in the Prem before so we will see I guess. All it takes is 1 error if the levels are so high.

Yeh agreed. We did and still do get pissed off when people say our title win was lucky. Nobody can be lucky over a 38 game season. Same as if you get relegated, you can't say you're unlucky, you're just shit.

Any promoted side is going to concede a lot of goals, even the well organized ones, im not sure where there goals would come from currently.

Every promoted side that’s survived have had a ruthless striker. they have to nail that piece of business in the summer to have a chance.

Wouldn’t say any of the teams in the hunt have that piece of the puzzle.

certainly no Toney’s, mitrovics or Bamfords (at the time)

Don't disagree, hence why I said they might have half a chance

Some of the stuff being wrote and said about TAA going to Real Madrid from Liverpool fans is well over the top.

He’s honoured his contract, he’s not kicked up a fuss and tried to force a move, he’s won everything he can win at Liverpool. He owes them nothing, signing a new contract just so they can get a fee for him would be a ridiculous idea on his part.

Anyway have Liverpool paid us for Trey Nyoni yet??
