Genuinely staggering that it’s come to this

These were going nowhere and fighting to stay in the championship 3 years ago

Every chance Cov go up as well

The only encouraging thing about that is how quickly things can change.

Four years ago, they were invading the pitch to celebrate Championship survival and we were lifting the FA Cup. Now it's flipped. They're about to face the same challenges as we did, agents knowing that they have huge amounts of cash and bigger clubs wanting their key players, but with the added difficulties of PSR that we didn't have back then.

It's not as if they've been a particularly well-run club with a coherent transfer strategy. Their approach has been to throw hundreds of millions at scattergun recruitment until enough shit sticks. Wait until they're trying to replace Gibbs-White, Milenkovic or Murillo when every agent in world football knows that they're both desperate and newly minted.

Met a Forest fan in the pub last night. My mate said aren't we sort of rivals and the bloke instantly refuted it and started talking about Derby lol

I walked off shortly after.

Bournemouth’s shirt sponsor BJ88?  What’s that all about??  I have seen that in massage parlors in Malaysia and have always wondered what that means?? Any ideas??

Always makes me smile when another Forest visitor comes blinking into the daylight after hibernation.  Where have you been all these years?

In the Championship, mate. Give it our best wishes.

And no doubt very quiet throughout. A friendly reminder that this won't last and you won't have what we have to show for it.

Course it won’t last. The league is set up for the Big 6 to reign in perpetuity.

But I’m going to Wembley next month. And not going to Wrexham next season.

Rather go to Wrexham than Notts

For how absolutely shit we have been run, we did at least have huge sales of academy products to alleviate some of the burden we had put on ourselves through irresponsible expenditure on wages.

Forest won't have that. If the rules ensured everything caught up with us eventually, I feel like it will be a lot quicker for Forest. Champions League is a must for them really when you look at the difference in money compared to the other two competitions. Even Villa had to sell players they didn't want to after qualifying for it.

Of course this could all be wishful thinking too.

Give it a couple of seasons...

Also, the last time we went to Wembley, we came back with a trophy. A major one, not the play-offs.

Real Madrid delusions of grandeur, Doncaster mentality.

Imagine if you cared about it. I guess then we really would see what insufferable is….

And plenty of chance for you to be drawn away to Wrexham in either cup next year by the way

Is the Community Shield classed as a major trophy? Just asking

It is laughable Forest trying to compare their year this year to us in 2016. It’s pretty identical at this stage to us in 2020/21 (we had 56 points to their 54 after 29 games). And of course had an FA cup semi final to look forward to. Granted they are unlikely to piss away the top 4 spot like we did.

Just remember they got the basis for this season from being handed the play off win by a corrupt Jon Moss, broke all kinds of financial rules upon promotion and manage to get a tailored, pitiful punishment to ensure they stayed up ahead of the worst collective bottom 3 to date at that point.

Bit like Villa’s springboard was the ghost goal against Sheff Utd after Covid which kept them up. Some teams get the breaks I guess.

The funniest part is that they won't achieve half of what we did despite spending ten times as much.

Fans of rival sides doing well coming onto other boards to gloat is rattled behaviour..

You're doing well. Enjoy it. Why are you spending your time on FoxesTalk 😂

They've spent the last 20 years telling anyone who will listen that they don't care about us. It must feel good for them to finally let out that frustration.

Edit - Just looked at his posts. He started off pretending he wasn't a Forest fan (referring to them as, 'they') because he knows how tragic his behaviour is lol

I know first hand from living among them how much it hurt them to see us winning everything in sight. Imagine how much it'll hurt when this brief moment in the sun is over even more quickly and they're back to relegation battles or worse.

To be fair to Forest fans they should be enjoying it this season instead of worrying about the future or what might have been if they dont finish top 5 and/or win the FA Cup.

If anything knowing it won't last should give you more motivation to simply enjoy the here and now.

Well, quite.

The reality of the UCL is probably going to hit a little different when they're outclassed by genuinely top sides and struggling to balance all of those commitments. And that's if they don't bottle it like we did. They also won't have multiple trophies to show for it as we did.
